  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

yeah completely right..the scientists are cruel....We could leave and there could be like two adventures at once ya know? those of us who leave and those who stayed...and there could be some huge battle later on and we meet up....but iono if she'll go for that....maybe those of us who escape could find all these other mutants who are bad and fight them or something...iono

But it doesn't make sense for the scientists to be cruel. I mean, they want the kids to help them someday, so wouldn't it make more sense for the scientists and doctors to be at least somewhat nice to the kids?

Ah yes but they know they have supreme control over us and they think they can take care of themselves. They know we can't do anything back.

Well, I know that if I were a human scientist in a secure building filled with super-powerful mutant kids, I'd not only be constantly on my guard against an uprising, but I'd also be super-nice to those kids so they wouldn't attack me. If I were one of those scientists, those kids would be constantly rolling their eyes because I'd practically grovel at their feet every time they entered a room. :) I'd say that in this RPG, some of the scientists are probably cruel, but some of them are probably really nice. You know, different ways of maintaining control--some through fear, others through love. And that could lead to some interesting character development--showing the kids' different relationships with different scientists. Logically, some would be parent figures, some would be dictators, some would be "best friends," and others would just be "there."

Okay, here's what I was thinking. For the most part, none of the kids have seen the outside. They've never seen the sun, never watched a shooting star, never seen a rainbow. They all wear the same grey colors, though there are a few different versions of theoutfit. Skirts, shorts, stretchpants, just no halter or tube tops.

Also, I figured perhaps some freedom seeking group could decide that it isn't right to keep these kids locked up, so they go in and try to rescue them. They kidnap the kids and begin the treck to who nows where. Thekids freak and use their powers to escape. But now they're lost. Some will want to get back "home" to the lab, when others will decide that this is their chance for a freedom they never dreamed of. That's my idea for now, since it's rather unlikely that the kids could escape. Afterall, the scientists will have taken every procaution against that.

What do you guys think???
