Hello friends, brothers and sisters,
We want to invite you to a new online live Bible study we’ll be starting this Sunday September 27 (today) at 7pm eastern time (4pm Pacific). We plan to meet online for one hour as we study verse by verse beginning with “In the beginning” Genesis 1:1.
We’ve had a men’s Bible study Saturday mornings for 12 years. This new study will be online only and all are welcome (men and women). We study the Bible together “dialogic” style which simply means we read a few verses and discuss them together. We have found this two-way interaction improves our comprehension as together we share our understanding of the scripture in love. We do not debate, we do not bring an agenda, we are in no rush, we simply seek to learn from God. We ask questions when we don’t understand something and invariably find His truth and encouragement on every page of God’s word.
Some of us use computer Bibles and study tools. My favorite for the PC is E-Sword. It is free and available here, http://www.e-sword.net. There are plenty of other free tools available for PC, Mac and mobile devices. A favorite web site for study is Bible Gateway. Or if you prefer simply bring your Bible so you can read along with us.
Our meeting room is an online tool we’ve been using for a while called Zoom, https://zoom.us/join. Our meeting room ID is 316 633 3160 or https://zoom.us/j/3166333160. Zoom is also available for PC, Mac and mobile devices. We recommend a headset with a microphone if you wish to join the discussion. To simply listen and follow along no headset/mic is needed. The room will be “open” for fellowship beginning at 6:45pm with the study beginning promptly at 7pm.
