Goodbook,
re: "No sorry i cant be bothered arguing semantics..."

If you said that 2 plus 3 equals 4 and I said that 2 plus 3 equals 5 would that be arguing semantics?

re: "...plus I didnt start the topic."

Are you suggesting that you can't be questioned on anything you write in a topic if you didn't start the topic?

re: "It is also good to remember the fact that our souls also immortal and cannot die..."

Nowhere does scripture use the term "immortal soul". Where do you come up with the idea of an immortal soul, i.e., that a soul is immortal and cannot die?

Just saying ask the OP, and dont try to argue with the other posters i dont think its meant to be a debate but a question the OP seems to want to know or have the answers to.

It doesnt matter that much to me and ive already tried to answer it from the bible.

Wether it was sunday or thursday the actual day well we know from the bible they never used those days of the week because the gregorian calendar wasnt invented yet. It was imposed during the roman era long after the actual birth death and resurrection of Christ.

re: "I pointed to account of John only because this account indicated where Mary actually met Jesus, she met Him at the tomb..."
“Was this during her first visit to the tomb or was it during a subsequent visit?”

I do not know what you meant by your question, look again at the accounts from Matthew and John they are clearly indicate that on the next day Mary, which is Sunday, she came to the tomb of Christ. This means that Jesus was crucified on Sabbath, and early in the morning, very next day on Sunday He appeared to her alive, resurrected from the dead. So, He was resurrected from the dead on the first day of the week which is Sunday, after His crucifixion a day before, on the Sabbath Day.

“Do you know of any documentation that shows that the seven day cycle has been interrupted at anytime since the first century in the Holy Land?”

As I already explained it, seven day cycle never has been the same since dawn of humanity because of usage of different calendars by the people of the world. Each nation has its own way of counting days, months, and years, and in this case it is impossible to establish one uniform rule for the cycle of counting time.

So I do not know about any documentation when such cycle has been interrupted in the 1century A.C., in the Holy Land, but as far as I know, Jews still observe their holidays according to the lunar calendar, so perhaps their cycle of the weeks more likely close to the original cycle of the New Testament.

re: "So the point is, that it is really does not matter on which day of the week the 7th day will fall..."
Sure it does. The seventh day of the week always falls on the seventh day of the week.

Let me explain again, those people who observe Sabbath in different time zones than yours, still observe Sabbath according to the Law of GOD, and for them Sabbath starts early or later than your Sabbath, which means on different days according to their time zone.

Above all, between lunar and solar calendars there is two and a half month difference, so if we observe Sabbath according to our solar calendar, it means that our Sabbath is not in sync with the lunar calendar, plus different time’s zones between Israel and the rest of the world.

Again, I want emphaticize on the fact that actual Day of Sabbath is not important now, because no one can point it out exactly, due to all the differences of time’s zones and uneven calendar’s days whatever lunar of solar.

But the most important thing is to observe Sabbath according to your own calendar and your own time zone, as long as you observe Seventh Day according to the cycle of weeks of your calendar, you are fine.

You wrote:

“Well weve always known if we follow the gospels and what it says that he was raised on the third day after the cruxifiction thats not in dispute.
It wasnt the first, second or the fourth it was the third.

So not sure what you trying to get at here. As far as I know all christians acknowledge this fact.”

What you mean “RAISED”? Raised from the dead of raised to His Father? I already explained in my post that He was raised – resurrected from the dead on the first day of the week which is Sunday Mark 16.9 and in John 20.1, because on this first day of the week Sunday, He revealed Himself to Mary, she was the first who seen Him alive after His death on the cross a day before, on the Sabbath Day.

Another resurrection, or better say ascendance to Heaven to His Father occurred on the THIRD DAY or after THREE Days as it written in the Gospel of Mark. So He was already alive and well for THREE Days being resurrected from the dead on Sunday.

So, on the Wednesday of Thursday, THREE DAYS LATER happen completely different event, He ascended to His Father.

ON WHICH DAY JESUS WAS ACTUALLY RESURRECTED?

Resurrection of Jesus on the Third Day: (Matthew 16.21, 17.22-23, 20.18-19) (Luke 9.22, 18.31-34, 24.7) (Acts 10.40) (1Corinthians 15.3-4)

Resurrection of Jesus after Three Days: (Mark 8.31, 9.31, 10.34)

According to the reference above, Jesus was resurrected on the Third or after Three Days, perhaps means on the Fourth, counting from the Sabbath Day, and that would be Tuesday or Wednesday.

Mary found the tomb empty Sunday

Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. (John 20:1)
That's why Christians started meeting on Sunday.

Grace and peace,
Mark

alex2165,
re: "I do not know what you meant by your question..."

You said that Mary met the Messiah at the tomb. I was asking if this meeting took place during her first visit or was it during a later visit? But you can forget about the question because it has to do with something not related to the OP.

re: "...Jesus was crucified on Sabbath, and early in the morning, very next day on Sunday He appeared to her alive, resurrected from the dead. So, He was resurrected from the dead on the first day of the week which is Sunday, after His crucifixion a day before, on the Sabbath Day."

There are scenarios for a 4th, 5th, and 6th days of the week crucifixion, but I've never heard anyone before offer a 7th day of the week one. On what do you base your assertion? Only 2 calendar days would be involved and at most only 2 day times and one night time.

re: "Again, I want emphaticize on the fact that actual Day of Sabbath is not important now, because no one can point it out exactly..."

In order to remain sinless would you say that it would have been important for the Messiah to keep the Sabbath on the correct day of the week?

Rstrats, I already explain everything I possibly could, if you think that a Sabbath has to be only on a certain day, it is fine with me.

I observe Sabbath according to the current modern calendar, and for me it starts from mid-night on Friday until mid-night of Sabbath.

Wrong or right, you will be the judge, but for me it’s the only way I do the Sabbath.

Just so it's understood that the 2 scriptures which mention folks getting together on the first day of the week have nothing to say about the resurrection.
Correct. Acts 20.7 describes a Havdalah service which is at sundown on Saturday.

1 Cor 16.2 says to put aside $$ on the first day of the week. That is because it was considered forbidden to handle money on the Sabbath.
