Ok I HATE being single!!

Ya. it would be interesting to get a few thoughts on how they view things now.

The priest at the Episcapal church I attend with my GF is also a family counselor for the state. A while back he had to counsel a family whose dad had had a near death experience. It was so wonderful that he made no bones about it that he wanted to be there and was mad that they EMTs and doctors had saved his life. That's find for him, but the affect it had on his kids, was they couldn't understand why daddy didn't want to live with them any more. Interesting.

Wow...that's interesting!!! My grandmother had something similar happen to her. She said she did not want to "come back"!

That is being shy when you don't feel like reading the replies. You have been very open on here about your life. I used to be more open .. but my GF says quite often don't post anything about me.

Does she ever read posts here?? If so say hi from me.. My husband never wanted me to write online either.. ever... and he swore he would never go on face book.. now that we are not together.. he is on face book.. go figure..

Ummm.. I am very open.. too open actually but that is me.. I have horrified my husband sometimes.. but he now realizes that is me.. who I am.. rather then doing so because I am mean or nasty.. The good thing is.. he sits and work and reads my profiles to his mate at work.. lol.. but alot of what I post is about GOD too.. so in a way I am wittnessing through what I say so openly...

I was thinking more along the lines of.. finding a soul mate.. you know the one GOD has for me.. the right one.. someone to spend time with and THATS why I would not need to be here all the time.. sigh.. I started with this ridiculous internet because my husband was not talking.. and I was lonely and raising little kids pretty much on my own.. it became rather an addiction.. though I am happy for it.. because it is my way to reach the world..

I wish I could help you.. lol.. heck how does one go about doing that?? I would take you on seriously I mean I would be she.. if it wasn't that I wanted a person in the flesh with clothes.. lol.. as that could be taken the wrong way if I just said flesh.. lol.. someone to hug and talk too hopefully.. someone who doesn't just live in my computer.. though now I think about it.. perhaps a cyber husband IS the way to go???

One can certianly get their alone time with a cyber mate. Would keep the communication going.
Ofcourse tehre would still be a lack of physical touch that would be a major downside.

But how are you searching for your soul mate? Maybe your soul mate is searching for you!

The thing about the cyber relationship is that there will be communication and this is what you want/need. For me if I could find a real life relationship then I wouldnt need to seek a cyber one!

Im mean how many people get divorced because they dont have a real relationship, how often do you hear people saying we never talk/communicate and live like strangers. Maybe a cyber relationship will be more real but are people willing to try it! Im willing to try it but I will need to look elsewhere for a willing cyber-mate.

Hope ... would be interesting to read a blog about a couple doing a cyber marriage. Go for it. The blog might get quite a following with a little promotion and some interesting well written blogs.

Personally, sex is too important for me to have a cyber marriage.

Just something missing.. I have a really close.. daily friendship with a guy overseas.. I guess you could call it cyber friendship.. he is younger lol.. but I must be honest he is the closest friend I have had in a very long time.. male or female and we are just friends.. very good and I believe GOD must have placed him in my life to help me because there are little other close relationships like that in my life.. known him for years on CF... and only recently got to know him via face book and actually view what he looks like.. but if this or any other cyber relationship was actually going to come full circle I mean how could you??? They still go their way at the end of the day.. or end of conversation.. and you yours.. but then that is how many marriages are too I guess..

Isn't it the actual sex that consumates a marriage?? That coming together as one flesh as the bible states Adam knew his wife.. sorry this is kinda deep.. but cyber marriage just doesn't go deep enough does it.. and how would you ever know if they are being faithful?? and would they need to be??? I mean what rules are there for cyber marriage anyway???

I've been around the web for a long time and I'd not heard of cyber marriage till mentioned in this thread. A short search of the web found a few different ways its used. From a traditional marriage where the license amd marriage is registered thru the web to couple who would rather do most of their talking thru media like emails and facebook etc.
I didn't go deep enough to find a couple who live long distance and conduct their marriage communication thru the web. Must be a feel long distance relationships that are doing things that way tho.

day and peace there are problems with anything in life but that doesnt stop one from overcoming the problems. No-one would ever get married they thought about all the potential problems in married life.

We have different outlooks on life, cyber relationship maybe will work for me but isnt for you. It not a right or wrong issue, just what works for some people might not work for others. New things always make people nervous or hesitant but some people want to be pioneers! Where there's a will there's a way!!
