• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Anyone want to share comments? I could use something uplifting right now.

As an analogy, reading the atheist stuff is sometimes like getting down in the hog pen with the hogs.(I am referring to the story of the prodigal son).

The first thing you want to do is take a shower, and wash away all the crude, and then feel relieved that we are not one of the hogs, and we don't live in the hog pen. Thank the Lord for that.

I mean no disrespect to the atheists, I am speaking of a persons spiritual state, and not a literal/physical state of being a hog.

The atheists arguments are rooted in rebellion and pride. I think it is normal to walk away feeling a little sick after reading their posts.

it does feel that way....
i used to visit the apologetic forums, but have tuned down a bit... very frustrated when all everyone did was to rebut your thoughts. Nothing ever seems to get out of it, and they debate, just for the sake of debating!!

just keep in mind not to let emotions get the better of you, cool down a little and give yourself some time to relax.

i suppose we have to do it though, you never know when your line of thought may just be the cord that turns atheist Christian! ar... that's why we have Christians who have a gift in Apologetics.
