I skipped all the posts with the back-and-forth squabbling, but as to the original question.....
I think there are a lot of people that have had Sunday beat into their heads all their lives, and if they admit that their spiritual leaders misled them even on this one thing, then they'll have to step back and do a LOT of answer seeking. Some people aren't up for that and would rather just make stuff up (and yep, I've seen it a thousand times), than to admit that they really have not sat down and studied scripture for themselves.
I didn't want to be an Adventist. I thought my mother-in-law had some crazy views. I read the Bible hoping to prove her wrong, but ah ha...I read the Bible...and that's when my journey STARTED.
God bless all, I've missed you!
