Well, at least we know that this isn't the temple in
Jerusalem, and is basically for "show"
Obama wasn't declaring himself God in Denver, just
accepting the Democratic party's nomination for the
President. The whole Convention was just for "show".
When the Antichrist declares himself God in Jerusalem,
he will first attack the city and the rebuilt temple,
stop the daily Mosaic animal sacrifices which the
ultra-Orthodox Jews will have been offering, and then
sit in the temple and proclaim himself God (Daniel
11:31,36; 2 Thessalonians 2:4). And he could make
quite a "show" of it.
After he's taken control of the temple, he could bring
in lights and camera crews with a satellite truck able
to beam up his every move live around the world via
broadcast TV, cable, and the internet. He could have a
broadcast director who will choose which of the many
different camera angles will be shown at which time,
and a sound person in charge of feeding in glorious
background music and sound effects of crowds cheering
to help swell the emotions of the viewers.
All broadcast TV shows, all cable shows, all internet
feeds around the world could be simultaneously
interrupted "to bring you Breaking News from the
Temple in Jerusalem. The President of the United
States of the World is approaching the Temple in
order to make an important announcement".
A shot from a crane-camera high above the temple
could be shown looking down on the temple all lit
up with golden light. Symphonic music could begin
and the Antichrist could suddenly appear in splendid
golden robes approaching the rear wall of the temple.
He could raise his arms and at the crash of symbols
a small explosion could rip open an opening in the
rear wall. Out of the opening could come two men
dressed like angels with wings who could bow down
before the Antichrist and wave their arms for him
to enter into the temple.
[Just a note on why the Antichrist could enter the
temple through the rear wall. The rear wall of the
tabernacle consisted of 6 boards (Exodus 36:27) each
1.5 cubits wide (Exodus 36:21), for a total of 9
cubits width for the 6 boards. But the rear wall
of the tabernacle had to be 10 cubits wide to match
the 10-cubit height of the tabernacle boards (Exodus
36:21). So two boards were added on the corners
(Exodus 36:28) each of which were 0.5 cubits wide,
or one-third (0.33) the width of the other boards.
This meant that the rear wall of the tabernacle
effectively consisted of 6.66 regular-width boards.
The Antichrist could see this as a symbolic reference
to himself, as the number of his name will be 666
(Revelation 13:17b-18, 15:2b). And since the rear
wall of the tabernacle was the rear wall of the Holy
of Holies, the Antichrist could see the number of his
name being on the Holy of Holies as the perfect sign
that he is God.]
Now back to the Breaking News live from the Temple in
Jerusalem: As the Antichrist is stepping into the
Holy of Holies of the temple through the entrance he
made in the rear wall of the temple, a ground-level
camera could zoom in on some golden numbers shining
right above the entrance: "666".
Now cut to a camera inside the Holy of Holies facing
the rear wall. The Holy of Holies could be filled with
light and the surface of the walls, floor, and ceiling
could all be pure gold. The Antichrist could enter
the Holy of Holies in his golden robes and look like
he has always belonged there. He could approach the
Ark of the Covenant from the rear, stand before it for
a few seconds, and then lift the Mercy Seat off of it.
A high-angle camera could then zoom in to show that the
Ark is empty! The Antichrist's deep voice could then
be heard saying "A fraud! YHWH is a fraud! His promises
are just as empty as his ark!"
Suddenly cut to a ground-level camera showing the
Antichrist raising the Mercy Seat high above his head
only to suddenly smash it down violently to the ground,
breaking it into pieces. The sound of crowds roaring
with approval could then be heard. Then the Antichrist
could place his hands on the Ark and stare into the
camera: "WE can do better than this". He could then
knock over the Ark and stamp it with his foot, bashing
in its side. The two men dressed like angels could then
quickly come in and clear away the rubble of the Mercy
Seat and the Ark, while four more men dressed like
angels could carry into the Holy of Holies a golden
throne and place it right where the Ark had been before.
All the angels could then bow down and motion with
their arms for the Antichrist to sit upon the throne.
He could then grandly take his seat upon it.
As the music swells and the sound of crowds roaring
with approval increases, an angel could approach the
Antichrist with a magnificent golden crown encrusted
with huge diamonds and every kind of precious stone.
The Antichrist could take the crown from the angel's
hands, and as the Antichrist is placing the crown
upon his own head, a camera could zoom in on his face
as he says with great power: "I AM THAT I AM. I AM THE
ONLY GOD. Worship me, all ye nations of the earth".
As the music and crowd-roar reaches a crescendo, cut
to a crane-shot outside the temple to show it now
surrounded by thousands of people all dressed in the
various traditional clothing of all the nations of the
earth, bowing down before the Antichrist in the temple,
raising there hands in unison and all bowing down
again with their faces to the ground. Lightning bolts
(from huge Van de Graaff generators) could then be seen
striking all around the worshipping crowd as a sonorous
voice of an announcer intones:
"O, my friends, we have witnessed an amazing thing this
night, this 21st of December, 2012. We have seen our
God come and declare Himself to us in all His glory.
Let us all worship Him, my friends. Let us love and
adore Him together, for He has shown us nothing but
kindness and love".
Then a documentary could begin showing the Antichrist's
deeds since he first came upon the world scene two or
three years earlier. It could show him walking among
crowds of starving masses and giving them food to eat.
It could show him walking among the sick in a hospital
ward and giving each one of them their own doctor and
nurses to care for them. It could show him walking
among a crowd of poor children without shoes and
giving each of them shoes. It could show a teacher
trying to teach a class of children in a burned-out
building with no books, when the Antichrist enters
and hands all of the children books and then leads
them out and shows them a gleaming new school building
which he has just built for them. It could show poor
women trying to carry heavy buckets of water from a
well to their huts, when the Antichrist enters the
scene and leads them to brand new little houses he
has just built for them, all with running water.
And so on and so on. Nothing but kindness and love and
help to the hurting and needy of humanity.
The announcer could say, "Oh, my friends, what a
Blessed and Loving God we have. See how He takes care
of us! And all the while that vile imposter-god YHWH
sits up in heaven and does not lift a finger to help
us in all our tribulation. Instead, he laughs at us
in our plight!" Cut to a picture of an extremely-ugly
"YHWH" sitting on a Satanic-looking black, pointy
throne laughing as he looks down at the earth below
him and a crying woman and starving child at his feet.
The announcer could continue, "Oh, what a vile tyrant
YHWH is! Our God will utterly defeat him, by the power
of our Lord God Lucifer. But we must become united, my
friends, we must become united in the worship of our
God and our Lord God Lucifer, so that all together we
might ascend into heaven, the place where we all began
as gods ourselves, and retake our rightful place there,
and dethrone the usurper god YHWH, and then do
whatsoever we please forever and ever".
And so the Antichrist could put on quite a "show" at
the abomination of desolation, one that could help to
convince the world that he truly could be the good
God, while YHWH really could be the cruel enemy of
mankind.
Ultimately, the Antichrist will bring the entire world
into the worship of himself and the dragon Lucifer
(Revelation 13:4,8). But there will be faithful
Christians who will see right through the whole charade
and refuse to worship the Antichrist or Lucifer, or
worship the image of the Antichrist, or receive his
mark on their hand or forehead, knowing that to do so
would mean their eternal damnation (Revelation 14:9-13).
Christians will either go into hiding in wilderness
places during the reign of the Antichrist (Revelation
12:6), or remain in the cities and be beheaded by the
Antichrist (Revelation 13:7-10, 14:12-13, 20:4). But
this will be no loss for them, but gain, for it will
only take them into heaven to be with Jesus
(Philippians 1:21,23) until He returns from heaven to
destroy the Antichrist (2 Thessalonians 2:8,
Revelation 19:20) and establish the millennial
kingdom on the earth (Revelation 20:4-6, 5:10, 2:26-29).
