CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thanks My birthday present is a repair bill. And my girlfriend is coming over. I'm really looking forward to that.
It IS bleeding me dry. I love the car, but man... I don't like the mechanics. I went in to have a [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] service and an emissions test done and all of a sudden I needed brakes and some additive and blah blah blah. The guy tried telling me I needed a $500 brake job (that was just for the parts. It was an extra $160 or so for the labor). I could see that there was nothing wrong with the front brakes or the rear discs. However a middle of the road set of pads for the rear discs are $60.00.
(for a normal car they're about $25.00-30.00). It's four wheel anti-lock disc brakes, so the calipers had to be serviced as well. Unbelievable. It's $0.91/liter right now too and I have to put gas in the beast before I come home. Oh yeah, and my registration sticker. AAAAGH!! I'm gonna go rob a bank. I certainly don't think the car is going back to that mechanic. I'd sooner take it to GM.

i came here to comment on names cause i like yours. did you enjoy working in subway shops. sounds like a fun job to me. i have ridden many subways even gone across the San Francisco Oakland bay in the subway which was a bit scarry to me being slightly clostofobic and wondering what would happen if there was a major earthquake. hows that for drifting all over that subject and then some.WalksWithChrist said:
