Aslong as trolls and bullies are allowed to roam Singles and harass members purposely and openly without being dealt with, Singles will never feel like a safe space for believers.

I agree. There are plenty of good members here who are very kind and helpful to those around them, which I am very thankful for. But at the same time, it feels like you can't post a topic where you share a few harmless thoughts, statements, etc. without someone verbally attacking you.

I think the world has leveled up in rudeness and selfishness lately. People get road rage over nothing, customers try to cut in front of each other to get service, political views override common decency... Lord help us.

Yeah, I've noticed as a teenager and adult that many people only care about themselves and no one else. It's sad.

I've noticed this too, especially among kids, teens and young adults. Some T.V. shows for younger audiences are absolutely corrupt, as is the culture in general.

It makes it practically impossible to be an indie game developer, especially when trying to manage your own community. Seems like about 90% of them are all narcissists, who only respect you as long as you do what they want. When you start making decisions they don't agree with or if they lose interest in the project over time, they become quick to accuse / demean you over little things, will troll or try to start trouble for no reason, become disrespectful and unruly, etc. If you show any signs of weakness or offer a just rebuke, they'll turn on you without mercy. I even saw a conversation where a group were plotting on harassing another member psychologically until that person lost it...I don't understand how people can treat other human beings that way.

Narcissism really has gotten out of control; reminds me a lot of what is prophesied in 2 Timothy 3:1-5:

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

Kelly Tran, the actress who portrayed Rose in the new Star Wars movie, had to close all her social media accounts because of what you described. The angry fans were hurling insults, racial slurs, and even death threats to her just because they didn't like her character in the movie. As much as I'm not a fan of the new Star Wars movies, in no way were the fans justified in this kind of abuse towards her.

She applied and got a role for an installment in a very lucrative movie franchise (pretty much a jackpot for any actor) and then was given a script and specific directions from the director on how to portray the character. It's not entirely her fault the character was so poorly received as she only portrayed the character, not writing or directing it. If the franchise is turning into something the fan base doesn't want, then the most effective form of protest would be to not pay money to see the movies. Plain and simple. No need for the disgusting behavior they showed towards the film crew.

Narcissists have a sense of entitlement and fans of movies and video games tend to show that sense of entitlement by aggressively demanding certain features in the content. Failure to oblige, they fall into narcissistic rage instead of accepting the fact that they can't have everything they want.

Wow, I didn't know about that; crazy how so called fans behaved just because they didn't like her character. Yeah, it puts a lot of pressure on me to constantly roll out updates for them and include content they want. I'm tired of hearing people constantly complain about features that haven't been included yet, or things they demand to see changed.

I'm glad that there are still godly, God-fearing people out there however, even here on the forums. God is still in control, and the Holy Spirit is still restraining things.
