Sounds like evolution wants to produce pedophiles.

I think pedophiles are pretty rare. There are major distinctions between a neotenous female adult and a child. Considering east Asians being the most neotenous race.. you do sometimes have to wonder the motivations behind some of their character designs and anime. Even then, real life east Asian adult women often look much younger than their actual age.

From what I have read most men view women at their physical peak at age 22, when they are at their most fertile. Pedophilia doesn't seem to be very reproductively friendly.

My father is a very late Baby Boomer and my mother is an early Gen Xer. They were born on the cusp of these two generations so it's close enough. Despite my mother being a Gen Xer, she raised me old school with plenty of discipline (even if it was for autistic behavior), was brutally honest in her criticism, and never sugarcoated anything. With the way I turned out, my mother says I border between a Gen Xer and a Millennial. Plus I've always had an easier time getting along with older generations than my own.

I'm seeing tons of hatred towards Millennials these past couple years and it's no different than my times on Newgrounds where the users would literally judge you by your sign up date. I figured pre-internet people would be a lot more mature than angsty teenage boys on an internet forum in this regard.

I guess I was wrong.

What years were your parents born? My father in the middle 1950s and my mother early 1960s.

As for me, I was definitely raised millennial. Although as far as my father goes, he's a very empathetic guy. Probably the most loving Christian I've ever met, so even if I was a gen Xer or even a baby boomer he'd probably raise me the same as now.

As a millennial, I do think a lot of hate towards millennials is warranted.. we're the generation with SJWs.. and masochistic feminists. Even if part of the blame lies on how Gen Xers and Baby Boomers raised us. We still need to take some responsibility for our actions.

I'm a late Gen Xer, or maybe a Xennial, depending on which years are used. The only thing I dislike about Millennials is the stereotype that they were the first to grow up with computers and whatnot. Sure, the tech is cheaper and more accessible today, but very little of it is actually new. We had video games, a more primitive internet, with modems, BBSes, etc. Home computers were fairly common, and we were aware of cell phones even if few of our parents could afford them.

Social media is novel to an extent, but people have always been social, and media has been around for an awfully long time. Folks my age were early adopters. I suppose I envy how *easily* kids these days can go online and connect with others. People with niche interests and hobbies can meet with less effort than in the past, and there's so much more to read and share at one's finger tips. To me, that's a net positive.

Just be glad you didn't grow up under the constant threat of nuclear war, violent crime is down, and HIV/AIDS isn't the death sentence that it once was. From my perspective, young people these days are living in more innocent times. Not necessarily simpler, but more optimistic and less cynical.

I'm a Canadian, I must be an excessively polite guy who loves hockey and Tim Hortons.

I'm a furry, I must be sexually attracted to animals.

I'm autistic, I must be a STEM genius.

Who else is sick of stereotypes?

The human mind loves stereotypes.

The STEM genius stereotype frustrates me the most. If I fail to live up to that stereotype, then people just shut down and don't know what to do. It added so much pressure and stress on me to be something I'm not because people look at a very small minority and decide that is what I should be. Sometimes I wonder if I'm the very first unsuccessful Aspie this forum has ever met.

I don't know, I know plenty of aspies who aren't STEM geniuses.

I guess.. personally I'd never know you were an Aspie.. at least from your words alone.

I think your biggest problem is being unable to read facial expressions. I can see why that would turn others off. I think your personality and communication skills are fine.

Then again, some say I'm on the spectrum so maybe your conduct makes sense to me.. lol.

I'm so high functioning right now that I can pass off as a NT in real life. The crap you see me posting is the trauma as a result of painstakingly trying learning to mimic a NT through brutal trial and error. I guess for people around me, they couldn't have their cake and eat it too.

Alright, glad that you can pass now at least.

Dear People,

I was walking down the street and noticed something. People's faces are stuck into little rectangular devices everywhere I go. I go to the mall and people almost run into me looking down at those little things in their hands. Same at the grocery store. Same at Walmart. At the doctor's office, even old codgers like me are looking at that little rectangular box like it is the best thing since sliced bread. People are addicted. Gee, are they addicted. Nobody talks to anyone anymore. They just stare at that little screen.

So, I bought one of my own.

After spending four days trying to read those small directions in the little booklet, I figured out what the charger was really for. I charged it and turned it on after tapping the screen incessantly for two hours. Magically, the light came on when I found the power button. I don't know what a Google is, but I've got one. Finally, after getting the Google thing, I didn't get why people constantly stare at it. It really does nothing but make phone calls.

My granddaughter got a hold of it and showed me the "app store." What is an app? Is it some mystical creature or something? Anyway, using my Google, she signed me up for Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Pinterest, Spotify. Spotify is amazing. I can sit there and create my own radio station complete with Hank Williams, senior not his dumb kid, and Dolly Parton.

I spent a lot of time with that little rectangular device. I surfed the web using my Google thingie maggie bob, looked at a ton of pictures on Instagram (I love bikinis), Tweeted tons of my thoughts on things and even castigated my Senator for being the useless piece of excrement he is. I found my family posts lots of things on that Facebook thing and my granddaughter uses more cuss words than us sailors did back in Nam.

Gotta go. My phone is on 15% and needs to charge.

Why are people always accusing celibates of placing themselves over others? I would NEVER think that I'm better than anyone else just because I'm celibate. I've never seen anyone else who is celibate claiming to be better than anyone else. All I've seen is people who aren't celibate thinking that people who are celibate are weird or must have something wrong with them.

Celibate
Sorry for bringing this up again but...

I'm deliberately staying celibate because I'm thinking of others. I've had a couple disastrous relationships/friendships with girls because of my mental health issues that I still feel like crap about. Life just isn't fair but God's promise in Isaiah 56:3-5 is more than enough compensation for those who miss out on a truly fantastic life experience.

I think it's crucial as Christians to think about whether we want our reward now or our reward in Heaven.
I totally agree with this statement about God's promise.

You decided to be celibate because you're thinking of others. I decided to be celibate because I believe it's my calling. We've done this simply to follow our decisions and our callings, not to make ourselves look good.
