• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Hi, people have religious OCD. So I feel like I can't think straight. I used to wear counterfeit clothes but I believe that the HOLY SPIRIT showed me that it was wrong so I've been trying not to wear piracy and counterfeit clothes anymore. It's just that OCD distorted that. leaves me with a lot of doubts. I bought unbranded glasses, like they're not counterfeit, they just don't have any brand, but I didn't see that the store I bought them from was selling another model that was counterfeit. I'm now thinking that it is wrong ..The glasses I bought are not counterfeit. The issue is that the store I bought them from sells another model different from the one I bought and it is counterfeit.

I'm sorry you are struggling! I know how difficult it is to have OCD. Are you getting any professional help, for example a therapist? Or do you have anyone else to help you with your OCD? I am happy to suggest some resources if you would like. There is a good support group on Facebook, if you are interested in that. It is private, so it is not visible from your public page. Regarding your question, what do you think is a reasonable way to follow your convictions about counterfeit items, yet not be obsessive?
