Are they all territorial?
Let me ask about this hypothetical situation for fun. For whatever the reason you are hanging out with a group of new friends...little did you know they turn out to be deeply involved in the occult, they proceed to take out a Ouija board, light candles, summon spirit, etc.
You obviously refuse to join in, but in this hypothetical situation you are in a remote Canadian cabin and there is 2 feet of snow outside, it’s -5 degrees out, with a brutal wind chill factor of -20. There’s no other shelter for many miles. And you did not drive, you are at the mercy of waiting for the end of the night to get a ride home from one of the guys playing on the Ouija board. So although you’re not participating, you are in close proximity (small cabin). Let’s also suppose that the summoning of a spirit was a success.
Let’s even expand the hypothetical, a 2nd person also wants no parts of it yet they too are at their mercy for a ride home. You are a Christian, the 2nd person who wants no parts of it is not. Are you in danger of this spirit? Is the non-Christian in more danger of it than you? Or are neither of you in danger because you refuse to participate? And if it is true that either of you could be in danger of it, would it only be until you got out of there, or might it follow you home? And again, would the non-participating non-Christian be more at risk for it to follow him home than the non-participating Christian?
I’ve heard that you have to dabble in the occult to even be vulnerable towards any type of spiritual torment, but it would be an interesting monkey wrench if you were in the same large room as the activity.
