-- Sen. Barack Obama's pledged superdelegate from Illinois, state senator James Meeks.“We don't have slave masters, we got mayors," Meeks said then while preaching. "But they are still the same white people who are presiding over systems where black people are not able to be educated. You got some preachers that are house n------. You got some elected officials that are house n------. Rather than them try and break this up, they're gonna fight you to protect that white man.”
Haha, still harping on the discredited Canada-NAFTA story, huh? Your sources utterly lack credibility.
was it just me ? Or did obama blame america for his pastors hate speech?Nah, I was misunderstanding your words, sorry. I thought you were saying that the black supremacist undertones present in his recent controversial speech were present in every speech he gave and the church was primarily racist. If you're just saying that he focuses on race issues a lot then, although these two sermons are all I've seen, I've got a suspicion that you're right. In my experience churches have an unfortunate tendency to focus on one issue (the issue their pastor is particularly strong on or one that is particularly relevant to their community) and neglect others. Osteen does it with prosperity, Phelps does it with condemnation of homosexuality, my pastor does it too and I suspect yours has a bias towards a certain issue as well. Although I don't think it's healthy for a church I'm not going to judge him for it.
And no, I don't particularly like his style and I wouldn't go to his church, I'm just convinced a lot of the negativity thrown in his direction is unwarranted.
Nope, that was just you.was it just me ? Or did obama blame america for his pastors hate speech?
Name one of McCain's superdelegates. How exactly is Obama responsible in any way, shape, or form for this guys views?-- Sen. Barack Obama's pledged superdelegate from Illinois, state senator James Meeks.

oh noes, not another one!
What Did Barack Obama Not Know, And When Did He Not Know It?
I think he said America used to trade slaves too! The guy clearly hates America!was it just me ? Or did obama blame america for his pastors hate speech?
If you dont know what it means, how can Wright be criticized.
See, Wright is saying that it was chickens coming to roost. He is saying that 9/11 resulted from something that the US did in the past. What did the US do in the past that provoked or resulted in 9/11.If you dont know why 9E happened, again, how can Wright be criticized? See everyone, not all Repubs are talking point toe liners!
Thats cool. I will try to get beyond all I know about this guy and start ivestigating the word change again. It's you.
Sen. Obama Doesn't Really BELIEVE That "Black Power" Stuff, Does He?
Gee, I dunno. Why don't you read the "Black Power System" theology of Trinity United Church of Christ that Sen. Obama had to personally affirm in order to be a member.
What the heck is Sen. Obama's call to "disavow middle classness?" According to Vallmer Jordan, a church member who helped draft the Black Values System, they were designed to empower the black community and counter a value system imposed by whites.
"Any black person who identifies himself as middle-class psychologically withdraws from the [black] group and becomes a proponent of strengthening and sustaining the [white] system."
All over America, we evil, middle-class white people can only hope Sen. Obama will heal our souls. And who knows--with his economic policies, Sen. Obama might even wipe out the middle class altogether!
Down with that white cracker blue eyed devil system. LOL
http://thenaturaltruth.blogspot.com/2008/03/im-obama-supporter-but.htmlAnyone who knows how Sen. Obama spent the past 20 years worth of Sundays and isn't re-considering their support for him should be ashamed of himself. Even if you conclude that he's still the best candidate in the bunch (and that ain't sayin' much), this new information has to be taken seriously. Anyone who doesn't has consumed far more Kool-Aid than the Recommended Democrat Allowance.
Please believe me that I am not a kook and am actually quite reasonable
it wasn't just you.was it just me ? Or did obama blame america for his pastors hate speech?
http://thenaturaltruth.blogspot.com/2008/03/barack-obamas-under-bus-speech.htmlBut going back and re-reading Sen. Obama's comments for the third time, there is a word that is glaring in its absence:
Wrong.
Oh, Sen. Obama used it quite a bit. The Rev. Wright was wrong on one or two details about American life. Wright's critics are wrong to overlook all the good things that the racist minister did when he wasn't spouting Black Liberation idiocy. The American people, black and white, have handled race relations all wrong.
The one person in all of America, apparently, who hasn't gotten anything wrong? Barack Obama.
Like Dick Cheney seeking the ideal vice presidential candidate for George W. Bush, Sen. Barack Obama has searched the land for a single, righteous man on the issue of race--and found himself alone.
My friend who is a staunch conservative sent me this.
Mr. Wright was invited to the 1998 prayer breakfast, and in addition, he received a thank-you note from former President Clinton for his expressions of support about six weeks later.
And according to the newly released schedules of Mrs. Clinton by the National Archives of her years as first lady, she was in attendance, too.
I think it is white people in general. Based on his support of Wright , his comments about white people (his grandmother) and his writings, I believe that if elected, his chief goal will be to represent the black population at the expense of the white population. He's not prepared to represent or to serve all of America
As all can clearly see, Obama DOES have a history of representing all, regardless of race. Obama has already shown that he does bring together diverse groups as well as helping those in need. Contrary to your hyperbole, as a legislator, Obama does not have a history of representing one racial group over another. We have real history to look at to see that you are wrong.I think it is white people in general. Based on his support of Wright , his comments about white people (his grandmother) and his writings, I believe that if elected, his chief goal will be to represent the black population at the expense of the white population. He's not prepared to represent or to serve all of America
Are you saying he's wrong? Or just that what he's saying makes you uncomfortable? Because he's definitely not wrong. Most white people in America do feel an innate fear and anxiety towards people of other cultures, simply because they have not been exposed to them sufficiently. You can deny it and pretend that Obama is somehow racist, or you can do the brave, moral thing and say, "Hey, he's right. Let's work on this."
