One thing that people are ignoring is that if you want to have a true candidate of change it isn't always a good thing to have them beat down into submission by decades of life in the bureaucracy.

Er... that's not right... it's not even wrong
Rats - you beat me to it. I think he only had about 2 years as a congressman, right? Or did he even have that much experience?
The problem with experience is that if it is the WRONG kind of experience then the country has to suffer the consequences.
There are going to be a lot of charges and counter-charges between McCain - and the Republican slime machine - and Obama and the forces of Good before this is all over.
A lot of REALLY bad things are going to be said about Obama. I have yet to be impressed by the 'scandals' about Obama that have so far been circulated by the Republican slime machine - or the Two-headed Clinton slime machine, for that matter.
So - here are two sources of alleged fact that McCain has types of problems Obama never dreamed of committing himself in his darkest, most scary nightmares:

Before we can move forward to determine Sen. Obama's fitness to be POTUS, I want someone to assure me that all of these alleged facts about Sen. McCain are untrue, i.e., made up out of whole cloth. These charges, unlike those made against John Kerry in 2004, are alleged to be from eye witnesses to the events.
Someone needs to investigate these serious felonies that McCain is being charged with. I am appalled that any of them might be true.
Are they true?
It's America, a strange land where religion still matters a great deal and politics regularly involves whispering campaigns and outright character assassination. Why should the poor guy have to defend himself constantly? I think its pathetic people are always trying to knock him down. Its not very Christian.
I wouldn't feel "right at home" in a church which honors the Nation of Islam and gave Louis Farrakhan a life-time achievement award.
Been noticing Obama has made a point of denying what no one is seriously claiming--that he is a Muslim--while not mentioning at all what sort of Christianity his pastor and his church teach.
A transparent tactic.
Obama does not believe in Jesus Christ. I heard him say this myself during an interview. I do not remember the details except that one statement, it stuck in my mind. If I were you I'd research this diligently.
Hey, but at least he isn't funded by George Soros, like your nominee is.
Yes he is. I'd research that diligently as well. Apparently it's not well known? It's time to change that. Clarity is a good thing. Especially when it comes to voting for the president of the United States of America.
I don't believe you.
It doesn't matter to me if you believe me.
I don't know if you're confused, or attempting to smear him on purpose (there's been a lot of that by the right, lately), but that is just something I do not believe, and goes against everything that Obama stands for.

Thats typical in a presidential campain. And helps toWhy should the poor guy have to defend himself constantly? I think its pathetic people are always trying to knock him down. Its not very Christian.
This would be national news, or a national conspiracy to cover this up. (look at the Prince in Afganistan, it might happen short term, but not long.)Obama does not believe in Jesus Christ. McCain is funded by MoveOn.org?It was actually a joke. I don't know if he's funded by Soros, because I don't care. But, Voeglin does, and I would expect him to speak out against McCain, just like he does Democrats, for being funded by Soros.
Bet it won't happen though.

Well, brinny, I heard that you were just an agent of the Republican Party sent here to start smear and disinformation campaigns, and that you don't believe in Jesus Christ -- that cross by your name just being "cover" for your role.
It's probably not true, of course, but I feel honorbound to report it publicly, so people can draw their own conclusions. I mean, who are you going to believe, the person him/herself, or some nut on an internet message board?
He's rising to the bait. So far he hasn't made any mistakes, but that could change at any time.
If he really is a Christian, he shouldn't feel the need to constantly defend his faith - let his actions speak for him.
While his actions speak for him, I'll continue my research. THis election is a pivotal moment in history. It requires us all to research diligently what each candidate will contribute or take away from the Constitution and our country's sovereignty. Pretty words and smiles don't mean a daggone thing.
I'll research all I can and pay attention when a candidate of the United States of America claims he's a Christian and says he does not believe in Jesus Christ.
