Oathkeeper pleads guilty to seditious conspiracy

Though it isn't about this defendant, it is about this case...

There is a *THRID* oathkeeper pleading guilty to Seditious Conspiracy (18 USC 2384) and Obstruction of an Official Proceeding (18 USC 1512(c)(2) ). (This is the same sedition charge as the previous pleas, though I think those guys plead to 1512(k) "*Conspiracy* to Obstruct an official proceeding" instead.)

This defendant is a local leader of an OK chapter in N. Carolina.

He was part of the "Quick Response Team" stashing weapons in Virginia.

He will go from not on the court docket to convicted in the course of a single day. By going "straight to plea" an charged by an "Information" as part of the same OK case, he will not be added to indictment but is part of the case.

I'll just note that it's extremely difficult to see oneself as part of the problem. Especially, as has been noticed, when one doesn't think that the problem exists in the first place.

Then the world must easily be horrified......or maybe just you? Our history is replete with examples of pushing back STRONGLY against government (both federal and local). A brief follow-up to convicted seditionist #3: Todd Wilson...

He did plead guilty as expected. In his statement of offense:

he admits to tossing his phone in the ocean afterward, and that sometime after 5 pm on Jan. 6, 2021 he was in a hotel room with the OK leader when the leader made a call to someone with the request that Pres. Trump be put on the phone. Presumably this unnamed person was someone who could be reasonably expected to have some sort of access to the president, or at least that's what would make sense.

There are dozens of potential seditionists to confess...

(After a bit of a lull, the DOJ had resumed arresting the small fry trespassers again, at least 5 so far this week.) They also have 3 major feloney convictions this week (following the Friday seditious conspiracy plea of the OP): assault on cops by an ex-cop (jury verdict on Monday), assault and conspiracy to obstruct (plea) yesterday, and seditious conspiracy and obstruction of a proceeding (plea) today.
