That's the approach the President of Brazil took and because that nation failed to take protective measures COVID-19 related deaths are skyrocketing and many believe that its just the tip of the "iceberg!"We normally drive on roads, "irrespective of the human cost!"
In the US COVID deaths are double the rate of normal traffic deaths per year.
But we will go right back to the permanent state of 12 deaths per 100,000 with 2 million injuries as soon as we are ready to open the economy back up.
What we do know is that this virus spread like wildfire throughout several meat processing plants in the Mid-West that were forced to shut down, so we should be under no illusions as to how rapidly it can spread when workers are in close contact without PPEs!
Nobody knows what the final casualty total of this pandemic will be or what it would have reached had no preventive measures been taken - it may also mutate and/or return in a 2nd or 3rd wave as the experts have predicted, so the jury is still out and to compare it with traffic deaths is just a "red herring!"
