"Conscience" objections should not apply to grave matters of public health. Your rights must end where the interests of others begin. And I think that's why the Pope and the Vatican support vaccination. It's not exactly "loving your neighbor" to place an individual's moral purity above the safety and welfare of the community at large.
I think it's rather special that people who aren't even Catholic come out against Catholics following their consciences as if pope Francis' say so was the be all and end all of living the moral life.

That's a crazy sentence, by the way. It's not true on anyone's conception of rights and interests. It is "analytically" false, for rights are precisely the sort of thing that trump interests.
