Garou: Mark of the Wolves comes out on Xbox Live Arcade in about 5 hours. Pretty sure I will be playing a lot of it.

...so long as SNK Playmore doesn't allow you to change the dipswitches within online mode like they did with Fatal Fury Special.

As a side note, I love seeing Breetai's now playing lists. It reads as a history lesson of great games.

I also got to play the demo of Final Fantasy XIII this weekend as one of my friend's imported the Blu-ray of Advent Children. I was blown away. I can already consider that one pre-ordered in limited edition format.

Hey, thanks! You know, you're lucky that you can get Mark of the Wolves on X-Box Live. Buying the Neo Geo cart is crazy expensive. It's coming up at $400 now... Then again, I'm stupid enough to buy Capcom vs. SNK 2 on the Dreamcast when I ALREADY own it on the PS2, just because I like it so much. Who knows what I'll buy next?

Here's what I play them on (not pictured is my white Saturn and Neo Geo Pocket Color... and of course all of my US systems. These are my Japanese systems):

Oh very nice. Especially drooling over the Neo Geo and the turbo duo. And also good call on the FZ10 3DO.

I aspire to eventually have the same systems, plus some. I always enjoyed every system in its own right, and after owning what we did in Indianapolis, yeah, I miss it.

as for Garou on 360...it's nothing to write home about. I'd played it before, and love the game, so I was going to definitely buy it. I was hoping to get some online play on the 360 done, but...online is horrible. Their netcode is horrendous. I'm sure it's not as bad in Japan with the internet speeds there plus without the distance issues the US causes, but clearly SNK thought nothing of foreign markets, because I had 1 second delay on my inputs in nearly every match I played. So frustrated.

So, it's good for offline play, and for online if I ever lived in Japan with my 360. And you're right, it's certainly cheaper than the Neo Geo cart. But I could've probably gotten the PS2 or the Dreamcast ports and been just as happy with them, if not more, since neither would promise online play.

4 more days till BlazBlue releases, and I'll be playing it to death. Limited Edition pack that I pre-ordered came with an art book, a 48 track soundtrack, and a DVD featuring tutorials and character specific strategies. Apparently Arc put in a lot of time with the netcode too to make it playable anywhere, so here's hoping. If that's the case, I see myself enjoying this one for a long time!

Did you see what's UNDER the Neo Geo? It's a front-loading Neo Geo CD system. There were only 25,000 made before they changed to the flip-top model.

To be honest, I'd rather have an FZ-1 3DO. It's more nostalgic for me since it was the first model I'd played. Still, the FZ-10 is more reliable so it's a good 3DO to own.

Oh, I've also got my American systems: NES, SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, Playstation, Playstation 2, GBA, two DSlites. Also a Korean Halo Edition X-Box, Japanese Neo Geo Pocket and white Saturn (like I mentioned). Hopefully I'll get the Atari systems if I move back to North America (at least the 2600 and a Jaguar... hopefully a Lynx).

If you want any Japanese systems, I can probably hook you up if you want. Send a PM if you're serious.

That sucks. Then again, I almost never play online so it's not an issue for me. If you REALLY want the best online play, move to South Korea.

Mark of the Wolves is on the DC???

I know next to nothing about the Guilty Gear series, other than X on the DC is pretty darm fun. In fact, it's one of the best 2D fighting games that I've ever played. Still, I don't know if I'll get into the others as I really don't have time to fully get into them. I'm more of a pick up and play for a few rounds kind of guy.

Radiant Silvergun - Sega Saturn

Very good shooter, but not really worth the $200 asking price. I don't actually own it, so I just gave it a whirl to check it out. For $200, you could pick up a combonation of other great shooters like Dodonpachi (Saturn), Sexy Parodius (Saturn), Salamander Deluxe Pack (Saturn) Gates of Thunder (Turboduo), Lords of Thunder (Turboduo), Ikaruga* (DC, GC) and a handful of other great shooters for the same price. Radiant Silvergun is great, but not that great!

*Ikaruga is the sequel to Radiant Silvergun. To be honest, I never really got into that game either. I don't know why, because some people are in love with it.

I might have to let you know when I want to get hold of some of these systems. Right now, there's just so many modern must-haves for me coming out that I can't afford both. But once the gaming market settles down a little (probably in between Tekken 6 and Final Fantasy 13), I will let you know. I know I would be thoroughly pleased with a Japanese Saturn.

And yeah, Garou got released on the Dreamcast. It was released in Japan in September '01, and was released to the US in November of '01 under the name Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves.

For me, it seems like the Guilty Gear series along with BlazBlue is easier to pick up for a casual gamer than say Street Fighter, especially if they have never played either series. That's assuming you're not like me, and go to a tournament, and play a casual match with one of the best in the region. Then you just wonder what the hype surrounding the game is all about.

But that was only Guilty Gear XX Accent Core. After the match, he told me to just hold off learning the series until BlazBlue, and after reading up on it, it looks easy to pick up, especially for me having played and figured out combos in Soul Calibur.

Shoot, likewise with you though, if you are looking for a Jaguar or any Atari system, let me know, and I'll see what I can find.

I probably won't be picking up Tekken 6 or FFXIII anytime soon. Like, for years. I don't even have MGS4 yet! No time to get into it, so why pay full price now?

Yeah, if you like the Saturn most of the best games were only released in Japan as you know. There are a lot of variations on the Saturn here. Pick your flavour: grey Saturn, white Saturn, V-Saturn, Hi-Saturn, Hi-Saturn Navi (I doubt I can find that...).

And yeah, Garou got released on the Dreamcast. It was released in Japan in September '01, and was released to the US in November of '01 under the name Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves.
There ya go. If I come across it for cheap I'll pick it up. Otherwise, I'm not too worried.

I'm not that hardcore. I have no interests in tournaments at all. I just play for casual fun!

I'm in North America enough that I do come across them every now and then. Well, the older systems at least. I'm not in a hurry.

Have you ever come across a Jaguar CD or CDi system?
