Did you also spend another two minutes researching the countless technologies that were already prototyped for use decades ago, but were squelched and removed from market? Of course not, because you have a point to prove, right chap?
Why is there no implementation of, for example, machines that use desalination on a wide scale? It is 2014; we want to go to mars, but we dont even have a working and implemented way of using desalination on a large scale? Is that what I am hearing? Why are we still using oil when Tesla had ways of generating and sharing free energy over the air?
Or, we want to do extra-solar space travel, but dont have anything cleaner, more efficient/powerful and/or safer than nuclear energy? See, you are thinking like a civilian, which isn't an insult. It just means the dots you connect were put there by others for you to see, and you dont even deign to search for more to connect (or verify the ones you were given) because to you, it is ludicrous to do so. It is also uncomfortable. That is why you (and others ^^^^^) lash out when someone introduces a new dot to connect. Your pretty picture has to be amended, and understandably you do not want to erase lines and try to reconnect dots.
But, it is a hindrance to real progress - progress much more advanced consciously and socially.
