• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I have noticed here lately when my boy Cecil age 4 gets really gets going his nose will bleed. Not just drip actually bleed. He has Tetalogy of Fallot.

Worried mommy needs to know for sure if I need an emergency appointment to his cardiologist or not.

This just recently started.

He's had a BT Shunt and an open heart as well (norwood procedure)

If this could be connected to his heart and I need to rush him in to the card please let me know if not please let me know.

He has a card appointment the end of June.

It's really concerning me since it seems to get bad when he is extremely active.

Hi Renee,

I apologise for this delayed message, i just joined today and it seemed taht no one else answered you. I am a pharmacist by trade but not familiar with the tetalogy of Fallot or its heart ramifications. I also am not aware of teh cardiologist bookings in the US, compared to Aust. However, if this bleeding is something new, it may be wise to show him to a doctor to investigate. It doesn;t have to be his cardiologist, a general practitioner may be enough to start with. God bless.
