Normal People (Add On)

[Sher]

When they pulled up, Laurie saw that it was a pancake house. She laughed and then got out and went inside with Derek behind her. She smelled syrup and pancakes, and she said, "So what's for breakfast here?" as she went and sat down at a table.

Derek ordered the "All you can eat pancake feast" for two.
They sat there talking and drinkuing orange juice.
"Sprry I called you last night."
"No problem."
"Wht do you want to do next?"
"I dunno."
"Laurie, its your chose!"
Then the food came.

 

[Sher]

Laurie decided that she wanted to go down to the park. She remembered having peaceful study time alone there, so she knew it'd be a good spot for being alone. She started eating her pancakes. There was a stack about five pancakes high, and she didn't know if she could eat it all. She tried her best and made it through. Then she pushed her plate away and said, "I'd like to go to the beach, just as soon as you get through eating."

Derek payed for the bill, and they left, walking hand in hand. They got on Derek's moped and drove to the beach. When they got nthewre laurie led him to a small little grove. They were sitting there, talking when a lady walked up and said, "So this is the mystery man!" Troy reconised the voice from the lady who answered the phone at lauries house last night.

 

[Sher]

Laurie gasped and said, " SAM! What are you doing here!?" Sam grinned and said, "Good question! Why don't you answer it?"
"I asked you first!"
"Fine, fine" Sam said. "I'm here because that new guy at the sorority wanted a date and I thought this would be the perfect place. I set some stuff back here a couple days ago and I was coming to get it when all of a sudden I stumble upon you. Now what are YOU doing here?" she asked.
"Well, I know I owe you an explanation on this one. This is Derek. Derek, this is Sam, one of the girls I share a dorm with. Sam, Derek is my boyfriend."
She saw a look of shock settle over Sam's face, and then a smirk.

"Hello, Sam." Derek Said. "What a cute hunk ya got there, Lautrie!" Sam said. "SAM!" Laurie shouted. "What, just making an observation." Sam said. Laurie looked at Derek, and he was blushing. "Do you want to go somewhere lese?" He asked.

 

[Sher]

"ummm, well it really doesn't make a difference to me as long as Sam decides she doesn't want to eavesdrop." Laurie replied with a grin at Sam. She could tell by the look on her face that she was actually thinking about it. Laurie gave a short chuckle, now glad that she'd changed her mind and come to the beach instead of the park. She waved Sam off and gave Derek a little kiss on the cheek when Sam was gone. "I'm sorry about that" she said with a laugh.

"No problem, as long as I never have to face her alone!" Derek Laughed. "So, what do ya want to do, just tallk?" Derek asked. "Sure" Laurie said. All of a sudden there was a twig snappping and Laurie turned around and there was Sam. "Darn!" SHe said.

 

[Sher]

Laurie glared after her and then bursted out into laughter. She said, "Well, do you want to go somewhere else? I'm pretty sure that won't be the last of Sam that we see today." She started thinking and then whispered in his ear, "We could go to the park if you want, just don't say anything out loud about it because we don't want Sam hearing." Then Derek nodded, and they stood up and brushed their pants off as they headed to the moped.

Derek had a better Idea. He told laurie to go to the moped. SHe got on and he took off. Soon they reached an apartment building. "What are we doing her?" she asked. "One of my buddies lives here, but whe'ere not gonna see him." he said. "what." she asked. "Just follow me." he said. With that he led her inside. THey got in the elavator and rode it to the top floor. Then they went to the stair case and climbed up to the room. There was a small garden and lawn chairs.

Laurie gasped. The garden was as beautiful as she'd remembered it to be.
"I used to live here!" she said. "How's your friend liking it here? I remember the days I spent here. I loved it! I had to move out though because my house was closer to the shop and the college. I miss this place. Which buddy of yours lives here?" she asked.

 

[TheDerek]

"Troy Bruan." Derek said. Him and Laurie went to the chairs and talked for hours. Soon they looked at the sun and there was a buitifull set. They sat ther watching it in silence. Finally they looked at each other and Derek gave her a kiss. There first kiss.

 

[Sher]

Laurie felt shivers go through her as they embraced. When she pulled away, she looked at the sun going all the way down. She then whispered, " I liked this. We should get together here again sometime. Maybe study or something." She held his gaze as he nodded and then started to lead him out of the little garden.

 

[TheDerek]

Derek was happy. He lead her down to his moped. She got on they they took of riding. Derek was going to take her home. He decided to give her a liitle ride first

The car was coming right at Derek. He tried to slam on his breaks and turn. They were gonna be hit. Derek swerved the moped of the road.

Laurie felt herself flying through space and off the moped. She saw the car and the lights, and then she blacked out. When she woke up she was in a bright room with about a million lights, or so it seemed. She felt a stab in her arm and an ache in her back and she tried to sit up. She groaned with the effort of it. She looked around and saw a doctor looking down at her. "So you've finally come around eh? I'm Dr. McMaren, and I'll be treating you untill you can check out of here in a day or two."

Laurie sighed in relief. She hoped her injuries hadn't been many. Suddenly she remembered how she'd gotten there. She gave a little gasp and said, "How's Derek doing? Where is he?" The doctor looked away and said, "He's up in ICU. He was thrown from the bike like you. He has a couple of cracked ribs, and he hasn't woken up yet. He should soon. He isn't hurt very badly beyond his ribs." Laurie breathed another sigh of relief.

She sat back on the bed and asked the doctor," When can I go visit him? I want to visit him." The doctor said, " Well, you can't go visit him while you're still admitted in here for a day or two, but after we clear up this IV and get your scrapes and bruises down to minimum pain, you can go see him." "How soon should that be?" Laurie asked. "By tomorrow afternoon you should be able to go see him." Laurie began ticking off the hours untill she could go see Derek and looked for something to keep her busy.

Derek opened his eyes. Bright lights his brain said, so he closed his eyes.  He felt a stabbing pain in his ribs.  He then felt someone grab his hand.  "It will be all right." The voice said.  Derek knew that voice.  He opened his eyes and smiled at Laurie.  "How are you doin?" She asked.  "In pain, but I will survive.  Did you get hurt?" He asked.  "A few scrapes, but I'm fine." She responded.  "I'm sorry our date turned out like this." Derek said.  "No problem, as long as we're all right." Laurie said.
