Great. Shall we start with Y-chromosome haplogroup Q? How do you account for its history and considerable range?

I'd rather go shoot pool with my daughter and nephews. Later.

Nope on both accounts. String theory is rational, magic never is.

String theory is science's version of magic, in fact there's lot's of such magic in science.

No, just because you dont understand it doesnt mean its magic. Its a description of physical reality, nothing more, nothing less.

Magic is the only rational explanation for anything, if you follow them back far enough. Godly miracles (the fact of) are not quite 'ho hum' events, but pretty close.

Sorry but that is just a'god of the gaps' argument. Your god is continually shrinking. Soon there will be little to nothing left.

Are you really under the impression that I've never heard the story before?
You may have heard it before, but if you took it with a grain of salt, don't be surprised if it comes back on you.

The wives of Noah and his sons had all sorts of genetic diversity.

Not nearly enough Noah's sons all had the same mother and father, I do believe. So you only have the genetic diversity of two people. Add in the wives and at the most you have that of five people. The population of humans may have been in the low thousands at one point. No less.

I don't need to.

Especially if God is in control of the situation.
Actually you do. You may not seem to understand it but you are once again claiming a lying god. I do not know of any Christians that accept the idea of a lying god. Most Christian would rather accept reality than go that route.

That's why I included the term "epoch".

Sorry but this doesn't make any sense. Changing the name for the block of time doesn't change the fact that you indicated sudden and destructive. THAT'S what I'm focusing on.

Are the mountains and rivers now in disobedience to God's commands? Do they insist on running downstream, in defiance of the Lord's command to run up? Do the mountains now rise and point to the heavens rather than precipice down just as steeply toward the hells?
Time may well stretch and contract like an accordion according to the whimsy of a capricious God. God as coyote; God as trickster. .... this is not out of the range of possibility; such is the God of Islam in fact, blotting out tomorrow what he sets as law today.
It could well be that science is an illusion, indeed science in the erratic universe of a capricious God would be impossible.
Morality, for that matter, would be impossible in such a universe, for without expectation that a given action will have a given consequence, the foresight required for morality would be impossible.

Or, the mountains in question were formed by plates coming into contact with each other, and this happened in geological time, rather than the time of myth and/or history.

I gave two choices; sudden destruction and epochs of time. You have reduced them to sudden destruction only. Whyzat?

So individuals don't each have the genetic diversity that science says they do?

But if you choose "hills" it makes the story fail. And of course genetics tells us that there never was the population bottleneck that the Flood would have created. Why is reality so hard to accept?

Another topic, but I do live in different reality than most.
