So silly. Why did the narrator start with "My name is Queequeg" in an equally fictitious story?
Didn't that story start with "Call me Ishmael"? I don't think Queequeg could read.

1. How all the species got on the Ark.

Simple: if God created the Ark as a TARDIS booth, then the Ark could have handled ten thousand times the number of animals that boarded it.

Assuming God didn't create the Ark as a TARDIS booth ... fine.

The TARDIS booth explanation shows just one way creationists can claim GOD DID IT.

After all, if I can come up with a TARDIS booth explanation, then think what God can come up with.

/facepalm

If you are going to appeal to magic, you might just as well say that your god shrunk all animals to the size of grain of sand.
At which point they don't even need a big boat. They could just put all the animals in their pockets.

With magic, off course, everything is "possible".

But for crying out loud.... magic....fo' realz...

2. The genetic diversity problem after the Flood.

Le'me guess.... god re-injected diversity through magic?

Remember now: the narrator seems to have depicted God as suddenly going dormant here.

But was He really?

Didn't God bless Noah and his family with some kind of fertility blessing?

Genesis 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

And if you think God hasn't handled genetic variability in the past ... think again.

Genesis 30:39 And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted.

All this video was created to do was one thing: mock God.

I guessed correctly. What do I win?

Nope -- you do it.
At which point they don't even need a big boat. They could just put all the animals in their pockets.

Can I quote you on that?
With magic, off course, everything is "possible".

And with miracles, even more is possible.
But for crying out loud.... magic....fo' realz...

You're the one bringing up magic.

I'll stick with miracles.

And I'll say this again: if the narrator can invoke GOD DID IT, so can I.
Le'me guess.... god re-injected diversity through magic?
I guessed correctly. What do I win?

A dictionary.

You're the one bringing up magic.

How is a tardis booth not magic?
"miracles" are magic too.

I'll stick with miracles.

Which is... magic.

A dictionary.

Miracle: an event that is contrary to the established laws of nature and attributed to a supernatural cause

Magic: the art that supposedly invokes supernatural powers to influence events;

literal miracles = literal magic.

And how did the koalas get from a mountain in Turkey to Australia?
Good question. Some advocates for the flood have actually claimed that perhaps a volcano blew up and sent them there. Conservipedia still has an article that suggests this as a possibility:

I suppose it could be a case of "intelligent explosions". It makes as much sense as "intelligent design". At any rate the claim is still there:

Volcanoes
The Post-Noachian Flood Volcano Theory comes from the example of Krakatoa, which, in 1883, erupted and destroyed most of the island, thus remaining lifeless for many years. Still the same life that was there before the eruption eventually came back. It is possible that volcanoes in the Mount Ararat region were able to transport the smaller animals over much greater distances than the animals could get just by walking.

This video from Conservipedia [sic] is a real gem.

I would LOVE to debate the guy that made it.

Notice how it shows continents, and the narrator talks about Australia being 10,000 miles away?

This guy needs to read Genesis 10 and Acts 8, doesn't he?

There is only so much nonsense that we need to consider. Since we know that the continents have been roughly in the same place for over a million years at least to within 100 miles, there is no need to read other parts of the Bible that was also know to be false.

But I would love to see you attempt to debate with Thunderf00t too. And even though your attempt to claim that the continents moved at a rate that would have melted the surface of the Earth is laughable at best, you seem to still be giving credit to the "explosion" concept. The distance to Australia would still be thousands of miles even if you squooshed the continents magically together.

Oh come on. I bring up a legitimate scientific issue for the people who seem to think that Noah's Ark is a real scientific fact supportable by evidence. The first thing that happens in this thread is that AV sets up shop and starts to make completely unfounded assertions about god doing it.

Hey AV? This thread is about science, and solutions not based on unsupportable supernatural explanations.

I swear, I will never understand why people give AV so much attention. All he seems to ever do is pop into topics and try to derail them from real discussion, and people follow him down the rabbit hole every time.

Then let's see your "science & solutions" answer the third post in this thread.

That's a false accusation.

Perhaps they know something you don't?
