What tale would that be?
I was thinking of Moby Dick, but someone else has pointed out that is not the opening line. My mistake.

What tale would that be?
Moby Richard
I didn't catch it either.
Better to err on the side of being too modest than relax and turn a site into an uncensored chat room.Great Literature and Die Hard both bowdlerized by Christian Forums!
That's still a very tight genetic bottleneck. One posible answer regarding inbreeding is that perhaps God brought the female of each species pregnant by a male other than the one He brought to Noah.

Well perhaps, but the male God brought to Noah may have not been of breeding age and he only bred the offspring of the female. Then perhaps the female had all female cubs born to her.
Besides, inbreeding in Biblical times was fairly common. Abraham and Sarah had a common parent.
I can explain it without magic.Like all fairy tales the only thing that makes them work is magic, magic and more magic, hit a snag and the answer is always magic.
I seriously doubt that, but go ahead.I can explain it without magic.
The only sensible conclusion is that the story of Noah is not true.
Maybe it's metaphorical or maybe it's just myth.
Actually your article tells us that the Black Sea flood was not as extreme as first thought. And even that flood was one that a person could have crawled away from. I have done the calculations in the past. Of course cities cannot crawl so for them it would have been a problem. For the people it would have been a huge inconvenience. They would have had to abandon homes with no new homes to move to. But there is no reason to think that this flood would have killed anyone.I've been reading and heard that there was some sort of actual flood that happened in history from the black sea deluge. Still being debated but this is probably the most plausible explanation.

It was a miracle.I seriously doubt that, but go ahead.
A miracle is just another word for magic. You failed AV.It was a miracle.

You failed AV.
You know what's just as likely as that miracle? That the world popped into existence, fully formed, 30 seconds ago.It was a miracle.
By the world's standard ... yes.
Not for you. You said that you could do something that you could not do. That means that you stated a falsehood.[/QUOTE]That's a good thing.
When AV sees a thread that he knows creationists have no answer to he attacks with nonsense. Seriously there should be a rule against that, and technically there is. Sadly he will not be called out for "goading" here. You know what's just as likely as that miracle? That the world popped into existence, fully formed, 30 seconds ago.
Can we please stop engaging with these ridiculous, unscientific claims in this thread? Seriously, go pollute some other thread, I'd like to hear some answers that aren't based on supernatural causation and things which are functionally impossible.
