Apparently there are marsupial mice and marsupial dogs (Tasmanian Tiger) and marsupial cats (Tiger quoll; though the cat doesn't look like a cat to me.)

The Tasmanian Tiger is not a dog (it's not even in the same family, Canidae, as dogs)

Where did you get the idea that the Tiger quoll is a cat? It's not. It's in the same family (Dasyuridae) as the Tasmanian devil.

Is that based on your observation?

You can take a hike. In the wilderness, hiking can be quite pleasant to some people. Get to see the miracles of biology all around you, dodge spiders and other creepy crawlies, get lost because of no sense of direction... Just remembered how much I hate hiking

The issue is that you are comfortable with accepting a continuous string of miracles necessary for the Flood narrative to be literally true.

Many other Creationists claim that they have scientific evidence that supports the Flood... and that is demonstrably false.

Academia and unbelievers aren't the target... it's primarily people who won't look up and won't really care about the details.

That may be so, but keep in mind that absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Scientifically, there is significant counter evidence for a recent world wide flood.

But if you can whip up an entire universe in 6 days... a few floating continents, a few miles of sedimentary layers, some mineralised fossils and a replaced biosphere are no big deal.

It would make communication a whole lot clearer if people stuck to this.

and not, "Well, actually some other scientists used actual science to show that... and anyway, I don't have enough faith to be an atheist and evolution is just a story... okay, okay, alright I don't really care, you should read Ecclesiastes 1:14."

Yes, I agree. It's honest, however if it's also inappropriate if inserted into a conversation about what the scientific evidence actually indicates.

You may agree with the stated conclusions of a Creation Scientist... but their claims about research are irrelevant to your belief and process.
