  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hello futuresoldier,

I don't really know that anyone can tell you that it is ok that you do not attend church regularly. I think that would be alot like a person saying you do not pray enough, or you should fast more. I do know this in His word it saids:

-- New King James
Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

So I believe it is importain that we come together, I know that when I asked Christ back into my life it was more an automatic kinda thing. I mean by that, I wanted more and church was the best place to get more to worship, to grow, to fellowship, and very importian to share. I for myself believe one of the most importian things with church is using our gifts to build one another up in Him.
But futuresoldier I can't really explain why you do not feel the need to be there, for myself the only time I felt that way is when I was not living for Him and I felt in church a huge conviction about that which made me avoid it.

God Bless ya futuresoldier
Chuck

I have an Aunt who says that she believes, she prays, but she doesn't feel the need to go to church. God wants you to go to church. As christians, we are no longer of the world when we accept Christ into our lives. And just by becoming a christian and believing is not enough. We need to be effective in our new mission in this world... which is to outreach and spread the word. Now one might not be a powerful evangelist, but every little bit that one does in ministry helps. This is where the church comes in to channel everyone to play their part.

I know that I did not go to church from about age 18 to age 26. Then I got married to a man who was a Christian, and we decided to start going back to church. The more I went back, the more I wanted to be there. I enjoyed learning from someone that knew so much more than I did about the Bible. I also enjoyed fellowshiping with all these other Christians, and I liked the fact my husband and I were meeting couples our age who were also Christian. I did not go back because I had to, but because I wanted to. But I do agree with what others say, God does want us to go to church. But I think you also need to find the right church, one that makes you feel comfortable, and one that you look forward to going to. My problem when I was younger was I resented the fact I had to go. Now, it is my choice.

Good Luck to you!;)

To not go to church ?

Well first of all what is Church ?

Church is People which is the Bride of Lord Jesus the Christ.

Why go to church you ask ? Why read the Bible....Why do what the Bible says...Why try to be around Christians....Why not sin ?

Are you getting the message I am making here ?

Going to Church is not to just listen to someone talk but to listen to the message that is being said, to pray, to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

I don't know not one Christain that doesn't seek to be around Holiness.

The point of going to church is to Humble yourself and listen to what the preacher has to say, to pray for yourself and for others, to have a relationship with God.

Anyone can just go to Church but please don't take out the meaning of Church.

Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV)
[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
