For studying what? I don't study the Bible. I spend my every moment studying the Master of the Universe endeavoring to get to know him better. Most of my biblical memory is based on the KJV. I love the clarity of the NIV, the NKJV, and the Message. But I do not base what I believe about the Master on any one version or verse. In the end, if you are a good student which version you use does not matter.NeverADullMoment said:Enlighten us Statrei, what Bible do you read for study?

Where did I ever get upset? Please identify the post.NeverADullMoment said:
Fair enough, then why get so upset when people use the KJV? If they're good students, it doesn't matter, you said so yourself.
I usually take my iPod on which I have NIV and the Message. Last Sabbath I took a printed Bible: it was the NKJV.NeverADullMoment said:Statrei, I think we're getting off on the wrong foot here.
Let me rephrase the question, what Bible version do you take with you to church on Sabbath?
You don't study the Bible at all?
I answer questions that are relevant. Just thing how ridiculous it is for anyone here to suggest that a Catholic would take on an Adventist icon to come and debate in this room. First, you can debate anything on General Theology and debating with Adventists would be of no real benefit. Second, that person would then be unable to fellowship fully with his Catholic friends.NeverADullMoment said:You don't care for answering questions do you?
If you are having problems with comprehension work on it instead of accusing others of doing wrong. Find a dictionary and discover what ignorance means.NeverADullMoment said:You basically called anyone that uses the KJV ignorant, I was hoping maybe that you were just upset and that it's not your manner.
Can you answer a question or is it against everything you hold firm? Do you really not study the Bible at all? Do you take one to church with you?

statrei said:Well, the KJV that was published in 1611 contained the Apocrypha. It was the Puritans in America who complained that those books were not divinely inspired leading to them being excluded from all Protestant Bibles today. I wonder if those who are so committed to the KJV really are as committed as they claim to be? Ignorance is such a wonderful thing.
NeverADullMoment said:I really was just curious as to which Bible he approves of since he doesn't seem to think those using the KJV are educated about its history.
I asked him the church question because he doesn't go. He'll never admit it though. He doesn't even study the Bible.
I'm going to retire from this site until the moderators do something about this guy.
Blessings.

I'm done.
StormyOne said:As was pointed out, the 1611 KJV contained the apocrypha... it was later deleted because of protesters... why aren't we upset about that?
