In the OP's list of exclusives he didn't mention anything Mario. TSK. He's the reason to buy Nintendo.

There's also Pikmin 1 and 2, Super Monkey Ball, Animal Crossing.

And who's got the time to play hundreds of other games?

I love it when people speak as though their opinion is fact. They don't like the Cube, so then it obviously must be the worst console. Get over yourself.

I happen to own all three consoles, and the Cube is my fav. Xbox is actually my least favorite. It depends on what kind of games you're into. Don't get me wrong, Xbox has some great games, and I'm a die-hard RPG fan so PS2 is also awesome, but more often than not, I find myself picking up Mario or Metroid or F-Zero or something when I want to play a game. Not only that, but a good number of the great games out there are made for all three systems anyway.

Go with what you like, but don't tell other people what they should like. To each their own.

I own every Nintendo system except for the NES, VirtualBoy, and the GBASP
I own a SNES, GB, GBC, GBA, GC, N64, and I think that's it...But I DO NOT own a PS2 and I WON'T buy one, I DO NOT own an XBox and I WON'T buy one...
You know why?
I am a Nintendo Fan, I own a Game Cube, I play Metroid Prime, ALL THE TIME, and well I think the GC is the best.
But I think Nintendo should become friends with Microsoft...I think Nintendo should make Mario and Metroid for the XBox and PC. Then I think Microsoft and Bungie should make like a Game Cube Halo or something, that would be sweet. But The GameCube has better hardware specs than the PS2 (including more RAM, and a better gfx engine) But the XBox I will have to admit is winning right now. They have the best gfx engine and the best, well everything, except for games...All they have is Halo and Fable, and maybe GTA and Driv3r, but they don't have Mario, Zelda, Metroid, or Donkey Kong do they?
That's why I'd pick Nintendo anyday!
And that's why I'll probably get the Nintendo DS.

Forget Sony though,
I don't like Sony at all...Even though I own a Sony Television, But still I wish the GameCube got it some kind of a Grand Theft Auto game, but I don't see that happening ANY TIME SOON.

It would be awesome though if Microsoft teamed up with Nintendo but I still stay with my decisions, fuuu---FORGET SONY!!!!

Why don't you like Sony? PS2 has a LOT of great games, although I agree that the Cube is better.

Then again, if you're not a fan of RPGs, then I guess PS2 doesn't really have that much else for you that isn't made for the Cube too.

I don't like Sony because they're nasty and anti-consumer; they're a leader in CDs and other things that can't be used normally. (e.g., CDs you can't rip with iTunes, etc.) I don't like Microsoft because, well, they're nasty too.

So, who's left? Nintendo, nowadays. They're the least nasty of the companies.

Honestly, of all the games out, Paper Mario 2 is the one I'm currently most interested in.

Heh Well I don't know that I'd go THAT far. I actually think Xbox has some of the best graphics...

Again, it's all a matter of personal taste.

Doesn't the Cube load faster? I've played the PS2 in stores and it seems to take forever. The GC is almost like a catridge, its so fast.

I personally think the GameCube is a great system. What bothers me is the way the media is treating it. Halo 2, GTA: San Andreas, and Jak III get ratings over 9.6 when the top games for the GCN like Pikmin 2, Paper Mario 2, Metroid Prime 2, and Mario Power Tennis get under a 9.5. The flaws in some hyped of PS2 and Xbox games get overlooked or tossed away as something minor while more trivial issues like a lack of voice acting, no dual analog, or stuff around those lines get treated as major flaws. All three of the current systems are great (though the Xbox is my least favorite), but I feel that the media is very messed up when it comes to reviewing games.

hey, sony isn't that bad. and, if you think about it, it's nintendo's own fault that sony now outsells them. after all, wasn't it nintendo that turned sony's snes cd extention that became the playstation?

and i will freely admit that gamecube is the best system on the market performance-wise. and i'm looking into getting one just to play metroid. xbox i'll never get as there are only two games (crimson skies and mechwarrior) i'd really be able to get into, but those games have their counterparts on the ps2 (ace combat and armored core) that are far more fun to play. however, nintendo does still have mario, donkey kong, f-zero... all the big names that really kicked off this current gaming craze. and i do own an nes, snes, n64, gb, gbc, & gba (i even own an atari for all its worth). so i'm in love with the company. and if they wouldn't have botched their relationship with philips (twice!!!) they would actually have the best system period, as they could have put a real dvd drive on there. and if they didn't have a history of droping games produced by companies that weren't nintendo-only producers, they would have the game variety that ps2 has. but, alas, nintendo's many past mistakes have come back to haunt them.

(by the way, does anybody own Super Mario RPG for SNES??? If you do, i am willing to cut you a sweet deal for it.)
