New to Gaming!

I recently found out that I had won a Nintendo Game Cube in a Wendy's Sweepstakes and will be receiving the console before too long. I don't know much about current games out now. What would you recommend for a role playing/adventure game without excess violence/immorality?

The Legend of Zelda: the Windwaker, is a good, clean adventure game.

I always wondered if they ever really picked a winner for those things. You always see them in the stores but never hear about anyone winning them.

The good news is Nintendo has a reputation for fairly clean games. Though, I hear they're trying to change that because they want to go after the same markets as Microsoft and Sony.

I am very fond of Paper Mario 2. Fairly lightweight RPG, but RPG nonetheless.

I reccomend super monkey ball 1 and 2, Pikmin, mario sunshine, Ribbitking, mario kart, and those should keep you busy for a while. I do not reccomend zelda, because of the paganism and magic.
Mario kart is cool!!! Pikmin has cut characters and good graphics.

Are there any Christian based GameCube games? Or is that asking to much? LOL

None yet. I heard that they're working on a Left Behind game but I don't know if that will only be on Pc. I hope they do a good job and put it on consoles.

Also, if you don't mind shooting alien creatures Metroid Prime it top notch, but it wouldn't be easy to play for a beginner.

I loved Super Smash Bro's melee, Mario Golf, Mario Sunshine, and Prince of Persia. Maybe one of those will suit you.

Not very much. We have a PS1 with a few games but it's been well over a year since we played. It was never a big thing for him. I'm the one that plays computer games...Master of Orion III...TimeLapse...etc. I love strategy/adventure games especially.
