Ya, the long ones 
Thats easy with a digital camera. There is a pararama mode which you flick it into and then you take one shot, move the camera slightly to the right and take the next shot, continue untill you have all the ones you want. Then you throw it one your compute and the program I got with the camera can automatically stitch them into one shot. The I have to crop the top and bottom so that there are no black bits and its done.
The first one is 4 'square' shots stitched together and the seccond one is 5
