I would appreciate it if the believers in the Noah's Ark story would state clearly which version that they believe in, and remember there are many interpretations of the Bible, tell us what you believe and why. What magic (or miracles if you prefer) was used and when did it end? If you do so we can have a meaningful discussion of this non-event.

I should have said, he is responding to Creationist claims rather than what the Bible actually says. For example, the Bible nowhere claims that the post-flood mountains were higher than pre-flood mountains or that new ones arose--as he correctly points out--nor does it at any point unequivocally assert that the entire terrestrial globe was covered with water.

The problem Creationists pose for themselves is to characterize the flood as a sufficient catastrophe to explain the Earth science evidence which would otherwise indicate an ancient Earth. Even a literal interpretation of the text will not bear it.

There was a massive flood in that area about 10,000 years ago. The Euphrates and Tigris flooded so badly that a person in the middle of it would not be able to see the shores. Of course that in no way threatened all human life, much less all life on the land. But stories , like the Noah's Ark tale, often have a bit of actual history in their roots.

Did you watch it all?? I can see that you clearly did not understand it. He used the material the Christians wrote because being a Christian does not mean that one has to deny reality. There are some Christians that do not need bedtime stories to accept Jesus.

Whoa, I may have made one mistake. He used to be an active member. He is no longer active. He may technically still be a member. And that means you would still be guilty.
