Keep it to people you know and like and you'll have a fine experience. There is never any drama in my FB feed, mostly because I don't befriend overly-political types or jerks. Most people use their real names but you might consider an assumed name if you have family you'd like to keep at arm's length.

I love Beagles and Bassets! We have two Beagles, one 3 years old and the puppy. My wife won't let me get a Basset :/

Your MIL needs a hound! They certainly aren't shy about making noise when something goes bump in the night.

Bassetts are super sweet but can be destructive brought on by separation anxiety. They really get attached.
