Fun fact.
Notice that the sign is written in German and English, even though Aussies aren't noted for speaking Deutsche. That is because statistically Germans have the highest instance of being attacked by crocodiles in the world. From what I understand, the warning signs up North for Polar Bears are also in German for the same reason.

I wonder why that would be?

And I wonder how they fare with hippos, say? Is it just a couple of animals Germans tend to be attacked by, while other animals maybe another nationality (maybe the French are most attacked by sharks?) or what? For the signs to be in German must mean something.

But I really like the "velociraptor" ... they aren't actually threatening, are they? Someone once offered me emus (from babies) but I declined as I was raising chickens, ducks, and geese but in a rented property.

I see lol.

Well there was a small German community in one of the rural places I grew up. They didn't seem to like me? But I never sorted it out or bothered. My family there was French and Native American.

I live next door to an elderly German lady. We get along fine. Though I find it amusing that she has three little dogs - all German breeds (a schnauzer, a dachshund, and a poodle).

I've been chased by an emu when I was a teenager. It wasn't fun, but the rest of my family thought it was hilarious at the time.
Emus aren't the most dangerous birds in Australia though, that title belongs to the Cassowary. Although there haven't been any fatalities since 1926 they've been many serious injuries
