Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.
It's basically similar to a post count. In fact, your posts per day count has always been in your profile. It's a graphical way of showing your posts per day. I don't understand how it could possibly be unsettling.Matrona said:I don't want to see anyone else's either, I find the whole concept really unsettling.![]()

Why not just show the "posts per day" in users' posts instead of this health thing? Or call it 'posts per day rate' or something.Erwin said:It's basically similar to a post count. It's about as "retarded" as the Armor of God, the Jobs, the Quizzes, the Arcade, the Blessings system, all of which serve no real purpose to the forums.Kokopelli said:I hate to be critical, but I think it is retarded.
- It serves little purpose to the overall wellbeing of the board
- It will encourage the trolls to flood the boards with their morology
- It may encourage newbies to flood the boards with more morology, thinking the 100% health is a high status indicator
More so, not meaning to insite a flame war, but if I wish to view a user's daily average posts, I will look at their profile. Perhaps it is just me, but viewing the average post as it stands is irrelevant. A user with tens of thousands of posts obviously spends a lot of time on the boards.
There... rant over.
:::Edit::: Edited bullet point.
Like I said, it was suggested by a member to have "Health" for members just like there is "Health" for Pets. I didn't want to make members buy food to keep healthy... the next best thing was to make members post to keep healthy.Matrona said:Why not just show the "posts per day" in users' posts instead of this health thing? If this is a forum where people are encouraged to make substantive posts, isn't it incredibly counterproductive to implement a feature that encourages basically 'drive-by posting'?

That's what reputation is meant to be for.Toney said:Since input was not solicited, I am not quite sure it is welcomed. Mine's off. I wish there were a way to increase quality posts and discourage posting for the sake of posting. I doubt that there is a way to accomplish this, therefore my only objection to this particular scheme is that it promotes non-quality posting, indeed even terms such frivolity healthy. Maybe it is, but participation is probably a better moniker. Spiritual, mental and physical health are a little too personal to be trivialized.
Sorry.... if I sound like a bitter little curmudgeon... it just doesn't seem like it has a point. The armor is kind of fun and encourages people to be creative. And the quizzes and blessings and other things are like that too. But this health thing is different. How is it fun to have people spam the boards? And if people are spamming it squelches creativity, creates extra work for the mods, etc....Erwin said:Like I said, it was suggested by a member to have "Health" for members just like there is "Health" for Pets. And, just to repeat...in case anyone missed it...there is an option in your UserCP to turn it off.
