I was born again as a Baptist and spent many years in a Methodist Church.

I am now a Catholic and I believe that the Catholic Church is the Church Jesus started.

It is 2000 years old and it has maintained it's doctrines and moral teachings. Also, when reading the views of early Christians we can see that they believed as Catholics believe today.

My two cents!

You know I would debate you about the Catholics worshiping Saints and Mary (we are to worship God alone and nobody else) but this is not the appropriate forum for a debate.

I have been a Roman Catholic. It was clear I was not to worship anyone but God. But you can worship someone or something, by giving that person or thing too much attention.

We as Christians can worship favorite people, by how we love certain people more than we love God. I find that many have love idols who are their friends and family members, or church members. But Jesus plainly does say, "if you love those who love you, what reward have you?" in Matthew 5:46.

We as Christians can worship something or someone, by giving that person or thing attention which needs to be to God.

Colossians 3:15 says, "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful."

So, first we are "called in one body" to be ruled by our Heavenly Father's own peace in our "hearts". So, if we allow anything or anyone to get our attention elsewhere, we are letting that thing or person be "God", somehow.

And we have how religious groups call so much attention to how they are right, more than others . . . instead of making sure we give our attention to obeying how God rules each of us, personally, right in our "hearts".

What I think you can discover is that really Christian people can be in different churches, and you need to find them so you can feed on their example :)

But never mind the group being right because of their ideas and practices. Ones can treat God like He is distant and impersonal, and act like we need to conform to their beliefs and ways . . . but not say a word about conforming to the image of Jesus and all this means.

But a really Christian pastor keeps us up-to-date on how our Father is correcting him . . . so we can see how we also need correction. He is an example of honesty and correction, included, as I think Peter means > "nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock." (1 Peter 5:3)

It is so important, then, to find a really Christian example leader, not only to select a group and you don't even know anyone personally.

Dear Robert Sanders. To be a good Christian, I believe Jesus has good news for you. In Luke 10: 25-28: Jesus is asked: " Master, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" Jesus answered: "You know the two Commandments to Love God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind? ALSO: Love thy neighbour as thyself." Jesus also pointed out: " On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." God wants our love, freely given and No conditions tagged on. In Matthew 7: 7-10: we are told: " ask and you shall receive," we ask God for Love and Joy, then we thank God, and share all Love and Joy with our neighbour. ( neighbour is all we know and all we meet, friends and not friends.) Keep asking for Love and Joy and then thank God and share all Love and Joy with our neighbour.
The Bible tells us: " Repent and be Born Again," give up all selfish wishes and wants, then start loving and caring for your neighbour, treat all you meet as you would love to be treated. God will see your loving efforts, and God will Bless you. You might stumble and forget at times, but then ask God to forgive you, and carry on loving and caring. The Holy Spirit will help and guide you,
and Jesus our Saviour will lead you all the way: JESUS IS THE WAY.
I say this with love, Robert. Greetings from Emmy, sister in Christ.
