I changed her outfit last night before we went to bed, I put her in a gown. Her color changed alittle, she becaome more pink. you know how color can change your complexion. Made me feel alittle better, but I was still up all night counting her breathes. More than 40 per min. is cause for alarm. She seems oksy, she's still coughing. This after noon, we are going to take her to a different Hospital for a 3rd look. Her birth cert. isn't in, so no doctor's office will take her. It's really frustrating. It's like insurance will pay all this money so little ones can be born, but who cares about the first 2 months of their lives, they have to make it on their own. Please continue to pray for her!!
I will and I'm glad her color is better. I hate insurance companies for that very reason. Hang in there and continue to keep us posted. I also have a few friends outside of CF praying for her as well. Hang in there sweetie! You're doing everything right - you sound like me with counting the breaths - I do that even when my children AREN'T sick!

My baby girl seems to be getting better, she is still coughing, and I guess that flem that has been is her chest is coming out too. Daddy was holding her this morning, when no warning at all, she threw up all over him. It was real funny and after she was done, she grinned real big. Her color is really good and so are her breathes. She goes tomorrow for her 2 week PKU, so I'll have them look At her again. I really hate guessing games. Oh, I think she threw up because that flem is coming up, what do you think?

I work at a preschool, and I have had seven kids throwing up due to phlegm lately....little ones just don't know what to do with it, and the best thing is that it comes out. So the throwing up is a good thing!!!!

Lord, I pray a circle of divine protection around little pickle and ask for a healing miracle to take place in her little body. Father, send angels of comfort to the whole pickle family, but especially to our dear Mama Pickle. She is worrying over her little ones and isn't resting like she should. We know they are all in your hands and I come to you with praise for every once of healing we have seen so far. Please help our sister with her burdens and bless the whole bunch of 'em. In your son's name, Amen

I'm so glad she's doing better. I tend to agree with you. I hope she's still doing well as I've had you in my prayers and heavy on my heart. I know what it's like and all the rollercoaster emotions that you're dealing with. Please continue to keep us posted as I check here often to see how everything is - God Bless hon!

Thanks Blessed for checking up on her, She is doing better, still coughing though. I think she has that acid reflux. I have and so does my mother. And my neices baby has it to. She spits up acid. I read on baby center that they now have Zantac for babies. Hopefully it's just caus eshe's been sick. I'd hate to think she feels what I feel when I have bad heartburn. But she is doing better, her color is really good and she is breathing really good too. She is a bit spoiled already, she wants to be held 24 7. I can't seem to get anything done. Daddy tries to help, but no matter how hard he tries he can't produce the milk. LOL!!!

Zantac is great. We had for my 2yr old. He kept spitting up and it was aweful. We gave him that and no more problems.

I had logged off my computer, was about to climb into the bed and then remembered I TOTALLY forgot to check on the baby! I'm SO relieved she's doing better! I had acid reflux when pregnant with both of my children but it went away. I think it's just b/c she's been sick. I hope she doesn't have it but they have so many things out there now to help with all of that for little ones. I'll continue to pray for you and your family - I had to laugh at the milk thing - my husband wished I hadn't bottled fed ours b/c that meant he had to get up for those 3 AM feedings too! ^_^ About being spoiled, you can never spoil a baby - at least that's what I'm told. I think mine are spoiled rotten to the core! ^_^ It's tough I know - remember, the time you have with your little one is so precious - let the house go, etc. Hubby can help you out in that department instead. Enjoy her being a babe b/c as you already know - your kids grow up way too fast. Hang in there -- I KNOW what you're going through. If you ever need to vent, cry, or whatever, please pm me -

Signed - a mama who's been there, done that and still DOING IT!

Thanks for caring, It's been a heck of a 2 1/2 weeks. And I'm wore out. My mom had to take my son yesterday, cause he's giving me all kinds of problems. He loves his sister, loves his daddy, but he has it out for me. We're working through it though. Oh, and I think I spoke to soon on my last post. Tonight, Taegan has cried no stop, I've been on Baby Center and I think it's colic. I never had to deal with it with my son, so really I'm not sure. But, I did do some of the things they suggested and some of them did work. And her belly is really hard. I put pressure and did the bike thing with her legs and took her temp in her bumm to relieve pressure. It helped some. It took 2 hrs of holding and rocking to get her asleep, so after I write this, I'm off to bed. It's either her belly doesn't agree with what I eat, or because I had to supplment with formula last night cause my milk isn't coming as fast as it did. I have to go to the health food store and get Two herbs or vitiamins to help the milk come in better. I had to do the same with my son. Anyways thanks for the prayers, and for caring about someone you hardly know. My baby girl is a sweetie, she's just havin' a hard time right now.

you're a mom - i know you better than you think i do - i think most moms would say the same thing! ^_^ So sorry to hear you're having a rough go at it - With my son, i went through that horrid colic - with my daughter, the horrid gas pains. it's hard on mommy and baby. I love baby center and get the majority of my info there and also have signed up on their newsletters. you're doing everything that i did with my kids as well. one day something will work and then you'll do the exact same thing and it won't. it's so very frustrating. lack of sleep does NOT help matters either. Also, i went through the same thing with my son when my daughter was born - it was jealousy and he was mad at me. accept all the help you can and remember, it's okay to let "things" go such as the house etc. your hubby can help out - or it can just wait. either way, it'll get done eventually. I will continue to pray and know that you're not alone. my offer still stands and if you ever need to vent, cry or talk - pm me...........

Hopefully 2 night is a little different, even though she cryied most of the evening, she slept most of the night. She wore herself out. I only gave her pumped milk last night, so I'm seeing if the formula has anything o do with her fussiness. Only prob is my milk is slowing down, and i feel she isn't getting enough when I feed her, so I have pumped and frozen and know my supply is most gone. Anyways, she's okay now. Sleeping peacefully, But I better not speak to soon, it always has a way of back firing on me.

picklereed,
I am so sorry to hear that your new little bundle is sick. I hope that the antibiotics have helped this past 11 days. I will be praying that you and she both get better nites sleep. I also know the scare of the rsv virus, our son was tested for it some months ago when my wife and I had him at the ER for a 102.6 fever. He did have bilateral ear infections, But, Thank god he didn't have rsv. The poor little tyke was so miserable and couldn't sleep cause his ears hurt him so bad. He is battling another bilateral infection right now, So, He is on the pink stuff again. I pray that your daughter is well and stays well. Bless you and the little one.

My son went through that tummy trouble as well when I was trying to keep up with the demand with breast-feeding but my supply was tapering off. I had been in teh hospital a week after having him and he got used to bottles in that time. SO when I got out I had to pump and feed him in bottles. Eventually I had to supplement with formula and then he would holler all night. I thought I would go insane.

Swaddling really helped my son with the pains. But only his daddy could do it tight enough and sturdy enough.

If you do have to switch to formula, try different kinds to see what works better. My son could not keep down any Similac or soy products, but he thrived on Good Start. But do try to keep breast feeding or pumping fro as long as you can.

I think we are going to have to go to formula. I have pumped only 4 oz. in two days, meanwhile she has been taking formula. I will keep pumping, but I'm not so sure if it's going to do any good. She is doing really good though, she cries, but I think that's cause she just wants to be held. She is feeling better and looking alot better too. Thanks everyone for your responses.
