In Europe so many sda members and also preachers
leave the sda church. In Poland also together 700 and it was
a RC country. Also in Germany, Belgium, Holland.
And it was not in 2008, but in 1935.
It is not new.
We see also sites from student today, who warn people
before they become a member from sda. and that is new.

This makes no sense. I am surprised that the Mods would reopen this thread after reviewing it. How can it be acceptable to promote anti-Adventist sites in the Adventist sub-forum? I don't get it.

I wonder why all the people on the front page of the website look so unhappy; like they've been suckin' on lemons?

You would think if they have been lead from the lies and into the truth they would be happy looking, not like someone just stole their lunch money.

From the web site:

"2. Placed in the Ark vs. Placed on side of Ark - The stone tablets were placed inside the Ark of the Covenant, but the Ten Commandments were copied twice by Moses in the book of the law. Therefore, both the Ten Commandments and all the other laws were placed beside the ark."

Does that negate the fact that the stone tablets were still placed inside the Ark and that it is those two stone tablets that make up God covenant with His people?

And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, [even] ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone. (Who's covenant? His? Not mine or yours? I see.)

Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, [or] the likeness of any [thing], which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee. (Sounds like we should remember His covenant.)

Deu 5:2
The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb. (Funny isn't it, but isn't this before Mt. Sinai?)

Them thar kooky Adventist are just so mistaken about the Bible it ain't funny!

Frankly Jon, I wouldn't worry about it. If one is confident and well versed in what they believe and why they believe it then we should never have to worry about outside forces attempting to shake the truth of our foundations. This is simply one of Satan's attempts described in the Bible to shake the foundations of what people believe. If Satan can create a little doubt in people's minds then he has accomplished his goal.

I am not at all worried about 'being shaken', I have read a whole lot of anti-SDA/etc websites on my own time. I have also read anti-Christian websites, and engaged atheists/etc in debates about religion.

I know what I beleive and why I believe it.

I am just very confused why Ice thinks that the progressive adventist forum is the proper location for links to anti-SDA websites.

I agree and understand your point completely. I'm also sure you believe what you believe because you are strong in the faith and cannot be easily swayed or shaken.

I guess my point should really be that people have a right to be wrong and as much as we may not like it they are completely free to show people just exactly how little they know and understand.

This is the way I feel about the web site in question. Just a cursory glance can find a gross misunderstanding of the Bible and Biblical truths. So be it.

one more time because apparently you have yet to understand... all progressives DO NOT think the same thing.... while you claim to be a traditional adventist, I would not assume that everyone who is a traditional adventist shares the views you hold.... in fact I know they don't....

Welcome back Senti. It's obvious what I am asking the mods to do. DELETE this thread. I would also like to see some changes concerning who can call themselves SDA's--but don't hold out much hope in that area.
