well, since I am not Greek, the EP does not rule over me. my bishop is Met Tikhon of Washington.
second, just because something is old does not mean it is untrue. I know that the OO are not Nestorian. they say we are.
third, this "wisdom that I have" is actually what was spoken to me by my seminary professors (three of whom have doctorates, and two are heiromonks), what I have read in the lives of the saints, and what folks like Elder Cleopa have said. nothing what I am saying is my own. I am doing nothing on my own.
whose wisdom you have, on your own, in your zeal to be THE Orthodox believer par excellence, decided to reject as “not Orthodox enough” for you.
I don't know why you have to get nasty like this. there is no need for sarcasm. I never said that the EP is not "Orthodox enough" for me, and I have no issues with the man personally.
Somewhere it says: “Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account.”
it does, and I am. my bishop, the priests I know, and the clergy at the seminary here say they are outside of the Church. we listen to the Church above any one person, bishop, priest, etc. if someone is right 99% of the time, you listen to the 99% and not the 1%. the person could be an amazing and loving bishop and theologian, and a walking saint, and this to be true.
