  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I posted a while ago on the cancer thread about my step mom who has cancer and roughly 6 months to live. I found out last night that she now has a few days or less. Praise God, she is comfortable and ready. I ask for your prayers that God would be merciful and continue to make her comfortable as he prepares to usher her into His kingdom. I know our God is a God of love and mercy, and I thank Him for bringing a close to her pain.
Also, please pray for her family that they may be able to see God's grace through this. If you could send a prayer up for me too, I would appreciate it. This is extremely difficult, especially since I'm so far away. She has always been like a mother to me, and I love her dearly.

My prayers are for your Step mom, and your Family! I pray that God will be with you all through this difficult time! As well as be with you spiritually! I know what its like to lose someone you truelty love! It's very devastating and very emotional for the whole family! But always remeber That you will meet again in Heaven someday! She's going to a much better place, all the pain that she is suffering with now here on earth she will no longer have to feel any more! May God be with her as she goes on her jorney to me Him!
