The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Miguel, I know I have not posted in either thread, but I have been praying for you. Please know your life is precious to God, and that you matter. I don't know why these circumstances have come upon you or why it is so hard but you have a purpose here, whatever that is...please know you are loved, and wanted here on this earth even though it may not feel like it. If there is anything we can do, please let us know...you have a huge wonderful team of prayer warriors here...they will pray you through this...you are worth more than gold, Miguel

Hi Miguel, this is my first time in this thread. My heart goes out to you and your mother. You are to be commended for taking care of her, that so pleases the Lord. I took care of my dear, sick mother the last 9 years of her life, I tell you, it was so rough, I loved her so and it hurt to see her like she was, she had congestive heart failure, she had never been sick a day in her life until that happened.
The Lord will give you strength, hold on to His hand and keep to Him, He will NOT let you down, you are the son of the Most High and He loves you so very much. He loves your mother as well.
Prayers are being sent your way for you and your mother, folks here do care.

Miguel, praying that God protects you from all that would harm you and extraordinary favor in seeking help to stop any efforts of ANY who try to harm your mom or you or cause chaos and unrest in your household. Dear Jesus, today I pray for our precious brother, Miguel, who is struggling to understand his purpose here on earth. I pray that you show yourself to him, that you send the Father to comfort him. I pray that you bring peace to him, and that you show him why he is needed here. Jesus, in your name I command the spirit of fear and anxiety to depart, to leave him, so that he has peace and rest in his soul. I pray for healing of his mind, his body, and his relationships. Jesus, show him your perfect love, your perfect, amazing, unconditional love. Love on him today, Father, just love on him and his tender heart. You see our beautiful brother here, and you know just how valuable his life is.
I also pray for restoration with his mother's health. You know and see the struggles she has been through, as well as Miguel having to cope with it. Jesus, you are the Great Physician, and you have the power to heal her and to guide the doctor's hearts and hands as they treat her. I pray that good decisions will be made for her, so that she can have as fulfilling a life as possible until her very last day here with us.
