Hi all,
I took my son to the sports injury specialist today to make sure he didn't have any fractures, and the good news is that he doesn't.
He has a torn ligament, 2nd degree. 67% (but to me it looked like it was hanging by a thread).
The doctor commented on my son being so double jointed and I asked my son to show him this thing he can do with his thumb. Usually people squeal when my son shows them this "thing" he can do (he can turn it around completely backwards), but this doctor looked at me with total concern.
He did a few more little tests and then told me that he thinks my son has Ehrles-Danlos Syndrome.
It's a connective tissue disorder that gets progressively worse as the person gets older. It can affect their internal organs, etc.
He has a doctor's appointment at 4:00 tomorrow so we can get all the necessary testing and find out for sure.
Please send up some prayers for him!

PS...my son is in an air cast now and thrilled that he doesn't have to use crutches anymore.
