  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

Ok...so I just found out yesterday that my brother got some girl he was seeing pregnant sometime over the summer and pressured her into getting an abortion. Now she is having regrets on the entire decision and the thing is my parents don't even know any of this happened. The thing is they've had pregnancy scares before because my brother doesnt like to use condoms and Im worried hes going to get another girl pregnant. So Ive been contemplating telling my parents what happened so that they can talk to him about the entire situation. Im still a bit shaken up after hearing the news. So yea what are your thoughts on this entire issue?

Ooh can't be an easy situation to be in. Is he older or younger?

Anyway you can talk to him yourself, just expressing your concern for him?

How young is he ? You are 18, an adult. That must mean that he is a minor ?

I think the age issue is important. If he were older (18+), then I would say he is an adult, and he needs to make his own choices. Of course, you should attempt to counsel him, but he is "of age".

But if he is still a minor, that's different. Your parents still have a legal obligation and responsibility for him. As such, they have the right to know what's going on.

Yea hes 16, almost 17. So thats why I wanted to inform my parents to let them know what is going on and try and help him.

And I have no idea what his IM or email are. He has tried to distance himself from me once I left home. We were never really close, we went to different schools and did different activities and stuff. And he never understood my whole Christianity aspect of me. He always went out to parties and did drugs and stuff like that so weve sort of separated over the years. But I worry about him and am not sure how to consult him if he wont let me into his life or anything.

Because he is 16, your parents need to know. I'd give him a week to tell them or tell them myself (letting him know this).

I'd definately talk to your parents. They can't help him if they don't know what's going on. As equally concerning as unwanted pregnancy, is the concern of STDs. He's playing a dangerous game that in these times could cost him his life. I have a son who is 17, very stubborn and sounds alot like your brother. I'm glad I have found out the things that I have, cause it gave me an opportunity to discuss them with him and hopefully get thru to him. I don't suppose he'll listen to me 100% but at least he knows I care about him and am trying to help him from making a huge life altering mistake.

    Hi PB,

Tell your parents, and then wash your hands of it.

You explained that he doesn't want to be in touch with you, therfore, stop pushing. There really isn't anything you can do, but be responsible and accountable for your own actions.

It's obvious that the enemy has him trapped, and once you fall to the enemies "snares", then it's a long say back. The "wide gate" is a path of destruction.

Keep praying that our Lord Jesus Christ will send someone across his path, to bring him back from destruction.

    Be blessed in Jesus' Name.

Seeing as he is younger than you, yes, tell them.
