need more hours again

Hello there, things are going well, and I think my boss likes me a lot, but last week was really hard on me. He gave me jobs with lots of responcibility and tasks. I thinkt he biggest problem is he expects me to get my tasks done faster, but it's not realistic.

Seriously I work hard. Its difficult because they want me to do a therough job quickly. I can't be super therough and super fast at the same time. I do not slack off and I am always trying to be more efficiant. I just could not get things done on time last week though. As a result it seems my hours have been cut. I hate working to the point of exaustion as hard as I can and having it not be good enough. No one does what I do faster there, if they do, they don't do as good a job, but I have tried to skimp off because of time restraints and I am called back to redo things, so I just can't win.

A big chunk of hours are going to this guy RP. He is pretty friendly mexican guy. The boss doesn't seem to realize how much he slacks off though. RP is always going as slow as he can, he keeps telling me "Go slower, relax, you will get more hours if it takes longer to do the work" What he is responcible for, for some reason they think it takes much more time than it should. What's more, in our contract it says we are supposed to alternate duties as much as possible but I have the same ones nearly all the time, and they don't have anyone else to compare speed with except for Mel, who is 72, so they don't really count how fast he goes. I really like Mel, but I have to clean up after him all the time. I'm happy to do this, he is old and can't do as good a job as me, and shouldn't be expected to, but I think it should be taken into account.

I really like the people at this job and my boss, I just wish my boss would have more realistic expectations, and they should disperse some of RPs hours since he has another job anyhow and he is the biggest slacker, though I'm not going to rat him out or anything, its just annoying that the boss doesn't seem to notice it.

Every time I pray here things really improve so I really appreciate it. I know I am on here a lot and I hope you are all not getting bored or annoyed with my employment saga, but really God helps me out so well when I pray on here I have no choice.

Seems to be lots of issues need sortin here, yep will definitely be prayin that this situation improves

One thing to mention tho, I know it is hard when you feel that people are gettin paid the same to do a worse job!! But I also feel that what they do is really none of your business, it is between them and the boss! Not easy, no way is it easy, to actually apply this in real life, especially if you're workin closely with them and/or they're gettin benefits that seem unfair. But if your boss is content with the way they work, then there's not really a lot you can do, sorry

Have you talked to your boss about all this (your part of it I mean)? If you like him and he likes you, can't imagine you will have too many problems!

Anyway no more preaching, you didn't come here for advice you came here for prayer! and yep, there's a bit more of that coming your way
