I have a couple questions.

When did the doubt start, was it directly after reading something?

How strong would you rate the doubt on a level of 1-10 (10 being very strong)

Was there also alot of fear / panic with the doubt, like that you almost made a huge mistake?

Did you decide in your mind to follow Jesus, or turn to God, before it started?

Guys, I never thought this would happen to me. I'm having terrible doubts that Jesus is the Messiah.

How do you counter this argument:
Scribes put all the prophesies together after the fact and wrote the NT to make Jesus match a Messianic figure from the OT? Like casting lots for Christ's clothing. I know this is bad. I can't stop with these doubts. I don't want to lose my faith
The only way to "stay the course" is to receive His Holy Spirit. Deception is rampant and the reason why a Christian falls away from the truth. You are being deceived by this notion and you have two choices. Walk in His Holy Spirit daily and conquer your fear or fall into deception and be lost. I will pray for you to receive His Holy Spirit so that you have the strength you need to stay on the narrow path that leads to the narrow gate where one day you will meet your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Be blessed and stay healthy.

There is no reason why they will lie. The early Christians are persecuted, all fled (as normal man would be), offers no loot or bounty (i.e. join my arm for God, we will go loot money/property for God and get rich in the process). If they didn't see Jesus come back they will all be scattered, like all the other Jewish rebels before/after them.

Will pray for you.

"Scribes" didn't write the New Testament. The Apostles, men who knew Jesus personally and live with Him for several years, wrote the individual texts. And the bishops of the Catholic Church, at the direction of the Pope, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, compiled the actual Bible in the mid-4'th Century.

Tania.. talk to Him. No... TALK TO HIM! See He is that REAL! From your heart.. just talk to Him.. ask Him everything.. there is only ONE God out of all the so called gods that will ever answer. See this heard this countless.. countless times.. Yeshua/Jesus.. GOD of Abraham Issac Jacob.. is real. And you CAN know Him more then you know your own parents best friend..

Don't let the enemy lie to you. God never ever uses fear worry doubt. The enemy does. And the enemy can only LIE! :) You are so LOVED! Did ever look out first thing in the morning as the sun is just coming up.. or midnight look up? Did you know.. oh I love THIS! HE really truly made it all for you. We tend to think only like man.. haha diuh. But.. HE will look at you and tell you.. this was all for just you. HOW HE does this.. I don't know. To then know He does this to each of HIS Children.

You can't fall to far that He is not there to reach down.. and carry you. This is not my hope.. this is not something I just believe.. its what I know. So talk to Him.. all of you.. He is SO REAL! "Phil Wickham THIS IS AMAZING GRACE! " Oh Jesus we love you praise you...thank you Father for you son.. in Jesus name

Guys, I never thought this would happen to me. I'm having terrible doubts that Jesus is the Messiah....

God promised the substitutionary sacrifice of Jesus in the OT as Abrahams faith was tested (Is 53:4-6). Many OT verses speak of Jesus’ burial and resurrection (Job 19:25, Ps16:10, Hosea 6:2..).

First you have to accept the fact that the entire Bible is truth (John 17:17); God’s word to all mankind (II Pe 1:21). It was produced over a period of about 1500 years. We know from passages such as Jeremiah 36:2 and II Samuel 23:1-2 that every word of the Bible comes from the mouth of God. There is exquisite unity and cohesiveness of the Bible on all levels. We can see how events and warnings in the OT came true. We can understand the spiritual message entwined in those events and understand how things going on today are exactly the same. In Rev 22:18 God says …blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. Only God could have written it this way.

Believing the Bible is true then we have to believe what is written is also true. We know an angel of the Lord told Joseph to name Mary’s first born Jesus because he would save people from their sins (Matt1:21) and that he would be called Immanuel because he is God Himself (v23). He was to heal people (Matt 9:6) indicating his power to forgive sins. When he turned water into wine answering his question in John 2:4. He was Mary’s Savior and creator. Jesus is the same God as the God of the OT (John 1:1). He provided an example when he wrote with his finger in the sand (John 8:6) revealing Himself as the one who gave Moses the law on Mt Sinai.

If that’s not enough, consider if there was no Jesus then 1. Christ did not rise. 2. All the prophets preached in vain 3. Those who preached Christ resurrection were liars 4. We are all still in our sin and have no hope.
