  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

When I was a kid(4-5 years old) I used to be obsessed with evil devil stuff like putt 666 on me with markers and all that scarey stuff. I think i said i sold my soul to the devil once. well now im 20, christian and i guess it just hit me that i rememberd that event. So yea should i be worried that my soul is lost? or have a everlasting relationship and life with Jesus Christ?

Dear Killerkiwi

The answer to your question is NO!

But there is more to it. You MUST confess it to JESUS and ask for forgiveness for this all all your sins.

Now to the most important stuff. You must commit yourself fully to GOD. Hold nothing back. When that is completed GOD will ANOINT YOU with the HOLY SPIRIT. ( BORN AGAIN ) HE gives it freely. Until such time you are not a member of the KINGDOM OF ALMIGHTY GOD. It is then and only then that you will have:

" a everlasting relationship and life with Jesus Christ? "

That's the wonderful thing about GODS LOVE. HE does not hold us accountable for our sins if we ask forgiveness. HE understands that at that age you are in darkness. But a LIGHT was sent to show you the way. The light will get much brighter when you commit yourself fully. It is then that your receive a GUIDE, COMUNICATOR, COMFORTER, and TEACHER. Then no human stands between you and GOD. YOU shall have a direct line to GOD.

ALWAYS REMEMBER:

XEven though you can't see Him, GOD is there!O
( click on the X and move to the O ) ( then feel who is around you )

Nobody is short of redemption, and you were a todler, you didn't really know much better, especially if you weren't brought up in a Christian home. Just ask Jesus for repentance, and I'm sure it's something that you can repent without even trying. Don't worry about "selling your soul to the devil" because the blood of Jesus purchased our souls, and that is worth more than any riches.

I don’t think you should worry about what you may have done or thought at age 4-5. Some people see God as a vengeful character who is keeping score of every little thing we do. The thing is none of us deserve salvation. God gives it freely for those who seek him. No Christian is sinless but we are cleansed by God.
As for selling your soul to the devil, you did not. You may be giving satin way too much credit which is what he wants you to do. You’re a Christian; you belong to God and God alone. You will sin in this life even as a Christian. Use that to draw closer to God. I’m not suggesting you go out and sin, I’m just saying that there is nothing you can do or think that God can’t forgive you for as long as you ask.

If you are a Christian, Jesus is the owner of your soul. He bought it on the cross.

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

All souls belonged to the devil before Jesus came along and called them out of their bondage. There are only two camps, the devil's and God's. Jesus redeemed everyone on the cross and brought you into His kingdom and under His protection. If the devil wants you, He'll have to go through Jesus first, and that's not going to happen.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:38-39

Satan's a fallen angel, so he falls under "angels and demons" - guess what, He can't separate you from Jesus any longer. He is a created being. He can't separate you from Jesus any longer. The only thing that could have separated you is what Jesus eliminated on the cross. There is no sin that Jesus' death cannot save you from, and it sounds like you repented. So whatever you did when you were 5, if anything was even done is null and void.

KillerKiwi,

There is a new concept that I think you might have to study before some christians do. Spiritual Warfare.

Ephesians 6:12

12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

What you did when you were a child could have opened doors that allow evil into your life. The GREAT News is that Jesus has given us the power to overcome all the power of satan.
The first book that came to mind for you is "Ridding Your Home Of Spiritual Darkness" by Pierce and Sytsema. I think that my wife and I have done this three times. It really makes the house more peaceful when you get rid of things that could have nasty attachments to them.

I do not know what kind of church you go to... some denominations don't believe that this is something to deal with. But start by talking to your pastor about it.

There is a great prayer at ransomedheart, click "going deeper", "prayers", "daily prayer" This is full of scripture and good reminder of Jesus daily.

Please email me if you have questions.
I can tell you lots about this stuff, because I've dealt with it.

Also, there is no reason to be afraid God is on your side and, I read the end of the Bible, HE wins.

Best Wishes,
MadRackle
