Yeah, it's easy enough to see nihilism as an end-state. It functions more for me as a "ground state" that I understand that I'm not really meaningful in the sum total of time and the universe and that really no one is. But we are all here at the same time and we do all "feel" things and so our goal should be to help others or at least not be part of someone else's needless suffering.

Oh, most assuredly. Like I've said many times before, even though I'm an atheist I grew up a Christian and there are many wonderful things about my former faith that I still find extremely valuable and extremely honorable.

(I just don't have the supernatural component added in)

I toll my eyes every time I see this mainly because this is how every system measures its achievements. Mistakes are acknowledged and learned from and successes are upheld. That's similar to claiming that capitalism is atrocious because the US relied heavily on Slavery for several hundred years.

There are really three periods. Marx initially wanted to get rid of religion in Europe. Then he thunk up his wacky unworkable economic theory as a way to overturn society, and that was called Marxism. It is now cultural, which leaves every aspect of cultural open to attack. Which by the way, is why we hear the words "social construct" so much. If anything was merely constructed, it can be deconstructed or destroyed.

No misunderstanding here.

It sounds like you learned about Marxism from Anti SJW videos from 2014/15

Because the specific thoughts you asked for aren't in there, they're in the Manifesto, as I said. And you're testing me to see what I know?

I believe for those working to negate the message of BLM it is sufficient to attach the label of "Marxism" onto the movement to turn off a large portion of Right-leaning individuals.

If one actually reads what BLM publicly states they stand for the ideals are pretty good overall. Safe spaces for families, community support for non-2parent family structures, elimination of systemic racism, etc. The deeper fear for the Right comes in how they extrapolate those comments. You'll see plenty of folks on the Right who think BLM stands to destroy the nuclear family (even though that is a skewed reading of the actual BLM statements) or that it will inexorably lead to a communist dictatorship a la Stalin.

It's a facile means of de-legitimizing the BLM movement but certainly not ineffective in the US where even modest "democratic socialism" like we see in western Europe is considered EXTREMISM.

Yeah I'm done here. You dont seem to know what Marx wrote in Capital and havent really done anything to explain what the big probelms with the Manifesto is. I know a troll when I see one.

That's actually pretty easy....communists used Marxism to take over Russia with the intent of setting up communism.

There was no plan for setting up communism.

Communist leaders fought each other for power, Stalin won, and since he had no plans either...he had to murder everyone to keep power.

It's like calls to "defund the police". You ask "what will replace the police"? They say "we'll just police ourselves"....no plan at all.

These people are too dumb to run a preschool....let alone a city or nation.
