I just really need help. I'm more then willing to help those in need, and I try to but I can't even provide for myself so it makes it really difficult to help others. I want to help others but I'm in a position where I really can't help others as much as I'd like because of poor finances.
Since trying to find a conventional job isn't working, I'm just trying to make a source of income via gardening. The soil around here is very poor, it's not fertile, thus not suitable for gardening. As a result I'm resulting to container gardening; it works, I've managed to harvest veggies via this method of gardening before. Unfortunately there are a ton of expenses to cover, which I can't afford. I'm not just doing so for fun, I'm doing so to try and make some source of income.
First off I'm not trying to be a mooch a freeloader etc. I have tried to find a job for two years in a row. Done everything you're supposed to; submitted applications, gone to what interviews I've received and followed up on status of applications. Nothing; all I've had is dead ends and/or no leads.
One thing that is working against me is my employment gap history that I haven't worked in years. However there is really nothing I can do about that it's simply cause of the poor economy.
Living in a small town doesn't help; it makes an already difficult situation harder. People who have lived here for ages get the jobs because of working there last year.
Most people want somebody who has experience, which unfortunately I don't have. They also want somebody who has a college education, which again I don't have; I've enrolled for classes but I won't get the degree for two years.
Unfortunately even then getting the degree is no guarantee of getting a job; doesn't change the fact that the economy is poor. I can't just relocate to a place where the economy is better. This requires getting a job where I live now, to save money. I've basically looked anywhere and everywhere for a job.
I'll take any position, any hours, work in any sort of field so long as it isn't something illegal and/or immoral (selling drugs, being a prostitute, etc.)
