They were alive at the time of the dinosaurs. There have been six (6) major extinctions where ONLY 10% (ten percent) survived to repopulate the earth. The most recent was 12,700 years ago when we lost saber tooth tigers and woolly mammoths. Even they still find mammoths with their lunch still in their tummy. If you consider a day in Genesis to be 1,000 years, everything works out just fine.

Not at all. YEC covers the last 6,000 years, and Old Earth Covers the last 12.7 billion years. What happened 12.7 billion years ago is a lot different than what happened 6,000 years ago. There is no conflict.

Except there is when YEC EXPLICITLY says that the universe and the world is only 6,000 years old. That is a conflict.
