  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
I love Naruto! It has many Christian ideas in it (except for the pervy jokes lol). It teaches love, friendship, faithfulness. I don't know how many times it made me cry. The fights are also very intellectual and well thought out. I highly recommend the Road to Ninja movie. It will tug at your heartstrings.

I love the fact that in the Naruto manga recently, people are calling Naruto NaruJesus because he's been healing people. XD
People know of Jesus' amazing miracles as much as Naruto!

It's more that Americans reading it are able to reference that as a matter of cultural familiarity. Japanese would probably go to Jesus or Buddha, though considering the bigger familiarity with Buddha and associated miracles would make Naruto seem like Siddhartha Gautama or maybe Kobo Daishi from Shingon Buddhism.

Thing is, most ninja can do at least a few things Jesus has attributed to him, like walking on water with chakra control.

Naruto bringing someone back from the dead is admittedly a reference to one of the Apocryphal gospels, where he allegedly struck someone dead and then felt remorse.

Supposedly there's only going to be 10 chapters and we're almost at 7, so this is either going to go further than what I've heard or it's going to wrap up rather quickly in the next month or so. This new villain, Uchiha Shin, who apparently scared Kaguya, is interesting in a way.

When Naruto came out, it was a refreshing series - the ninja characters and all sort of jutsu tricks were very intriguing. I myself enjoyed it a lot. Additionally the voice actress who voiced Naruto was very good at mimicking a young boy's voice which brought the character of Naruto very much alive. It had complimented so well to the animation production. :)

After Naruto series ended, it has the continuation of the next generation which is on Naruto's son, Boruto. However it feels like it did not come as a surprise in whatever is happening or going to happen. It is the element of excitement of encountering something new which is not there anymore. For example, the characters of Naruto and his friends when they were kids were nice and cute and their behaviour (sometimes naughty and mischievous ones) were funny. Then when it comes to Boruto and his friends, it becomes a little complacent as compare to their parents childhood characters. Nevertheless, Boruto series still has its entertaining value which is enticing to its readers and viewers in its sequences of occurrence in the next generation's lives and how they move forward to conquer the new antagonists with new methods of practicing evil against them. I think the series is still considered a good read and watch. :)
