Naruto!

i've read the manga, Phoenix, but i don't plan to do so for the later ones coming out in the future.. reading the manga absolutely spoils the anime, for me anyway.

well, just.. who would be making a pose of all things in the midst of battle?? standing atop a frog showing off.. lol.

Well, Naruto for one would definately take the time to do that...

Yeah I see the similarities with DBZ in how things take a long time to happen! But it's not as bad as DBZ... Naruto at least moves along you know?!

And yeah Inuyasha DOES have a lot of episodes too! @_@ Anybody know how many episodes are expected for Naruto?

lol, because Sasuke just looks too cool in the anime, Aburame...

At first I thought Sasuke was going to rock out, but he just doesn't. Every scene with him that could be something emotional or something climactic, he just stares at whoever is there and says "i will fight you later."
It's kind of annoying.

well, no wonder he gets on so well with Jiraiya. They're similar.

Yeah, mainly in the way the plot moves along. Naruto scales down the fights and can complete a major fight in 5 episodes or so, and the smaler fights lasting one or two episodes. Wheras DB/Z/GT would make the major fight last the entire season or more. Plus Naruto seems to have multiple subplots going on at once, where as in DBZ, there was mainly one single objective at a time.

Naruto's art is also better, but comparing art is a little unfair. Considering how old DB/Z/GT is, it's not very fair to compare it to the more modern animations. The modern animations have bigger budgets, and better equipment than DB/Z/GT was ever privy to. Also, considering that DBZ/GT had multilpe characters that orginated in DB, it's hard to change the overall style in Z/GT.

Just remember that if there was no DB/ DBZ then Naruto wouldn't be the series we all love! Toriyama was a major influence on Kishimoto.

Naruto and Jiraiya are a lot the same, they're both really very serious and elite, yet they're both hyper and playful. I think it's a good personality

Yeah, except Tsunade is competent. She's not a fighting specialist, but anyone who's stronger then Rock Lee deserves just a little respect for her fighting skill. Oh yeah, and her ability to completely remake her body, healing everything. And summon a slug that can stand equal with Jiraya's frog. And Sakura can...

I'm sure there's some similarities somewhere (both female?), but generally Sakura is nothing like the fifth Tsunade.

well, female. but naruto/sasuke/sakura, are basicly supposed to be them.

and there female, and sakura (due to her high chakara) would do very well as a healing person...just she doesn't train... she pretty much just says SASUKE-KUN! and falls over, or gets saved. ..or chrushed by sand...*Spoilers*

i think the manga's implying that Sakura will learn from Tsunade soon, just like Naruto under Jiraya and Sasuke (who will be i think) under Orochimaru.

uh.. why a slug? i can't imagine anything more slimy and repulsive as it.. stand on a slug and do battle? better have a firm grip with your feet!

You mean her chakra control? I thought she didn't really have an unusual amount of chakra just had better control than either Sasuke or Naruto.

I don't think she has more then anyone just better control. Naruto has an unbelievable amount of chakra because of the nine tailed fox, and Sasuke has more than is average for a genin (the "bell test" and how Sasuke was able to do the fireball jutsu). I would put her as having the same amount of chakra as the remaining genins.

While most of the time she does stand around like an idiot, she does have some ability. The whole thing against that sound guy in the second part of the chunnin exam was ment to show that wasn't it?

Just to change the subject slightly, I've just read through the last parts of the manga that is there again, and I've realised something REALLY annoying...everytime you start to get into the storyline, you get interupted, not only by having to press on the next chapter, but by the really cheesy 'what will happen next' things "Naruto is in a fatal battle, what will become of him? Next week-bla bla bla" I think it gets slightly more annoying at around chapt. 164 I think it is...it's so annoying.

lol, that has botherd me a couple times. but i dont have too much of a problem with it. I am more just enjoying the ride, and they kinda lay off doing that in later issues. ...well, a little bit anyway...
